The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

Assuming he isn't finally cleared to wrestle and the whole thing isn't a work to set up a Wrestlemania match it's a pity, but considering injuries screwed his last two shots at the top I'd rather see him retire in (relatively) good shape than do something stupid and end up crippled or dead.

Gotta admit when he started about wanting to come back a few months ago I was getting visions of him ending up like Misawa.

As sad as it is, I agree that I would rather see him continue his life rather than gamble with it by continuing a career that could leave him paralysed or worse kill him(I would guess Paralysis would be worse than death for someone in that business).

I guess Brie will get up the duff soon and they can start a family. I cant see it being a work really. I am sure he will have some great opportunity's in the future, I cant see him being involved with wrestling as I think it would remind him of what he has lost and could turn him to depression. I would think he will pursue his organic farming business.

Its been a good ride but it has to end somewhere.

Is this a for a shoot? if so good to see him take that step rather than seriously hurting himself.

WWE really missed the boat with him. It was awesome to see how over he got without being manufactured as the top guy ala Reigns

Some people think it's a work but with all the stuff about concussions, injuries and death in the business I can't see it. He even mentions concussions and head injuries in his speech.

TBH before the show I was on the fence whether he finally got clearance it it was going to get interrupted to set up a match or not but after watching it I think we can all safely say it's legit. At the end of the day he's worth more to WWE in the ring than not so if they could have him back in there they would.

Yep I agree, you could tell by his emotion and the way he stated his brain wasn't as good as they had thought that it was legit. I certainly wouldn't expect them to use a very hot topic in wrestling to setup a match.

Sad to see but I wouldn't want him to end up like Benoit.

Sad to see Bryan retire one of the few recent stars to get over on pure workrate and talent as a wrestler rather than being anointed by Vince to be the man.

As sad as it is though like others have said it's good these guys are being saved from themselves, him and Edge will look back in 20 years and think they could have been Dynamite Kid or Benoit now if they'd wrestled in another era.

Still there is 1 bright moment from this weekends events:

FINN BAYLEY! :D

NXT live events always seem so fun.

As for Fastlane, as much as it should be time for Ambrose I see zero way that Reigns isnt getting his Wrestlemania moment. Ambrose and Lesnar can still feud without the title but Reigns is left directionless going into mania without the win and given he's the centerpiece face right now I just don't see it.

I can see Ambrose winning. His promo with Heyman on smackdown was interesting.

I'm assuming we finally see a styles clash as AJ goes over jericho

He's already used the Styles Clash on Curtis Axel :).

I reckon we;ll see the Springboard 450 and/or the Spiral Tap as near falls and finish him off with a Styles Clash. No way he's going to lose.

Oh my word.

If this stays as the main event of Wrestlemania, the main event will be hijacked by the Wrestlemania crowd, NO DOUBT and I hope they do.

Hope Trips thinks it is 2002 and brings his shovel.
