I've strayed away from WWE since Undertaker switched from the Biker (I know, long time ago). I heard Kane was retiring too, but from the match stats posted it looks like he's still around. Hope he wins, Kane is long overdue for a big WWE title (holding it for a decent time this time!)

I never watched when Kane was masked but it can't get much worse for him than it is now. Beaten by a Mexican midget and pretty much a mid-low carder.
He's really due a push, maybe they should chuck him across at the draft to give him the option of teaming up with Undertaker.
In my personal opinion, taking the mask off Kane completely ruined his character. He will never be as good without his mask, it was just part of his persona. Whenever you look back at highlight reels of WWF you just know *JR Voice* "BUSINESS JUST PICKED UP" when Kane's theme hits and he strides down to the ramp to take out the whole of DX, its going to be sweet!
I've read a few leaked stories that have had to be binned for obvious reasons that Kane was going to get in on the Micheals and Taker fued and end up getting cremated alive but escaping just in the nick of time, aka giving him 2-3 months to get back into shape and put his mask back on. Also plans for Paul Bearer but i think they have fallen through due to horrid leaks.
Looking forward to WM. Agree with pretty much all of the picks of Tute
Hopefully we'll have a Stone Cold Stunner on Jericho before the night is over also.

It didn't really help that as soon as Kane lost the mask he started lying down for all sorts. The mask was good for the character, but so was the fact he was actually booked as an unstoppable monster. Nowadays he just doesn't carry that threat, because we've seen him lose, fairly easily, to some pretty average wrestlers.
Aka Rey Mysterio? Yea recently he has gone down hill horribly, he surely must get a 6month push before he retires, here's hoping anyways.
Perhaps him and UT will both run riot up untill next WM where they clear out the whole of WWE and then retire. UT 18-0 and the Brother of Destruction together again

My picks for Mania...
WWE Championship: - The only match I'm really interested to be honest and that's despite it being a feud that dominated last year, I think bringing the Triple H/Stephanie marriage into the WWE universe was a long over due move to make but it has brought something to the renew of this rivalry. Having said all that I'm only interested in an Orton win, if Triple H walks out with the belt I'll be bitterly disappointed!
World Heavyweight Championship: - Cant see anything other than a Cena win here *yawn* Should at the very least kept it to Cena/Edge one on one to make it even half entertaining
Taker v HBK: - No brainer this one on two fronts, 1- there's no doubt it will be the match of the night & 2- Take will win
Jeff Hardy v Matt Hardy: - I've read conflicting reports as to whether this one will be done and dusted at Mania or whether it'll be built up over a couple of events. Either way I'll go with Jeff
MITB: - It's gotta be a toss up between CM Punk and Christian as to who wins this, maybe CM Punk wins for the second time in a row and cashes in later in the night against Orton to get long over due revenge for how Punk lost the title in the first place???
Jericho v The Hasbeens: - *yawn again* This whole angle would have played out a lot better had they got Hogan, Flair or Austin to wrestle one more match. Anything other than a Jericho win will be a joke
Diva's Battle Royal: - *yawn x3* Trish Stratus returns and is crowned for ever Miss Wrestlemania
IC Championship: - JBL wins and retires, that's his big Wrestlemania history making moment!
Tag Team Championship: - HAS to be Morrison and Miz!
Surprised there's no ECW championship match even if the brand is a joke, wasn't there something a few months ago about if Tommy Dreamer didn't win the title he'd retire? Surely that would have been a good base for a Mania match? Ah well

Kane with mask was infinitely better than the current Kane. All scariness and depth of the character just disappears when you see his big bald head - he's just another big wrestler without the mask.
Love those clips from the late nineties - I wish WWE would release the entire Attitude era on DVD collection or something, I'd buy it in an instant.
Unfortunately post-2001 I started to lose interest in wrestling, which is a shame because it was something that was very enjoyable.
My predictions
WWE Championship: - Randy Orton win, should be a good match as there both great in the ring together, shame triple H only seems to have a handful of moves now. Randy should hold onto this Title for a good length.
World Heavyweight Championship: - Cena win with a money in the bank cash in
Taker v HBK: - Taker. Its just got to be. Would prefer HBK as I cannot stand Takers current image, whole mystical being person does my head in. This will be a good match, but will go on for an extra 20mins for taker to actually make his way down to the ring.
Jeff Hardy v Matt Hardy: - I think Matt here, still dont think officials are too happy for the drug issues Jeff has had so I dont think Jeff will be pushed for again and have a proper title reign for a few months.
MITB: - Heart says Christian, head says MVP. Vince has never been a fan of Christian, only the writers are, so I cant see Christian as anything more then a Raw mid-carder or ECW headliner (if that means anything nowadays???)
Jericho v The Legends: - This is going to be the worst match of the night I think, the legends just cannot wrestle anymore, there boring to watch, repeat 3 moves at most which are mainly punches. Jericho for the win, gets knocked out by Rourke.
Diva's Battle Royal: - This shouldnt be a match at Wrestlemania, its called WRESTLEmania, most of these girls cant wrestle and are there to look good. Stratus will win if she appears, if not someone like Torrie Wilson. Thow knowing WWE, they will bring out Mae Young and win.
IC Championship: - JBL will win, and JBL will retire and go colour commentate on smackdown again,
Tag Team Championship: - Miz and Morrison, cant see any other end to this match, Carlito and Primo are nowhere near as good tag team.
I actually think this could be a poor wrestlemania, about three good matches and some fillers, hopefully proved wrong.

Does no one here like Triple H or something?
Not many people do because of his backstage politics. Personally i think HHH is the cornerstone of the business and in 95% of matches like to back him, but personally, Orton is just the future of the business and at this stage; it makes sense to give him the belt.
