The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

I think if Steamboat does win (which I don't think he will) that it'll be the old small package that he used against Savage and Flair.

I think he'll give a great show again but with Jericho moving to Smackdown, I can't see him losing so quickly

i thought the point of an i quit match was that the other person had to quit.

The only match where someone has had their career on the line is at Wrestlemania VII - Ultimate Warrior Vs Macho King Randy Savage

Great Match :D

I've got a feeling there might have been one later on involving Mr Perfect but I can't recall

So ... with all this build up for "can they work together", and "will they get disqualified" and so on ... (and given how the matches went so far), reckon it's fair to say that Legacy will win? I mean, WWE always tells you how the match will end by harping on about something for weeks before.

It's tough to call. Given the hype, Legacy should win, but HHH is the golden son.

Either way, I think Legacy utterly deserve it. They've been carrying RAW since Orton's return from injury.

I don't think they deserve it .. I don't really like Orton or Cody (but I like DiBiase) - maybe I'm biased due to liking HHH though.

I do wish they'd finally finish this story arc though, it's getting on my nerves - hopefully it'll end with a split up of Legacy as I feel that DiBiase is being held back due to the whole Legacy issues as I feel he's a good singles wrestler (perhaps a move to ECW so that he can challenge for the title there at first and then moving back into Raw or SD)

Having said all that, and how it looks like Orton might get it, HHH has not held this title for long this time round, so I can't see it going to Orton just yet - unless they do a Cena loses to Edge, CM Punk cashes in and wins title from Edge, then Punk loses title to someone else ... and we have Edge vs HHH vs Cena vs say Batista and Big Show going for HHH's current title

Is Punk still playing the fairly vanilla babyface he was when he joined WWE? I know he's an indie darling, so will be difficult to switch so easily, but his old "don't drink, don't do drugs; am a much better person than you" heel schtick could potentially be fantastic for him. Would be great if they turned him after he gets the title.

HHH held the WWE title for most of last year though - from Backlash all the way to Survivor Series? (IIRC).

It's about time they gave someone else a go, just because he's Vince's son it doesn't mean that others can't be given the chance to shine.

Well yes, however I do not see them making HHH lose his "new" title this quickly, but it will be interesting ... because if HHH loses they could do something about him being angry over the loss and then starting a feud with Batista (if say Batista causes the loss)

If you bring back DX, all the HHH haters come out again unfortunately. On the other hand, a heel DX might shut them up, and would be brilliant to see. Its a shame there isn't room for a heel faction on Raw with Legacy on the rampage.
