The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

If you bring back DX, all the HHH haters come out again unfortunately. On the other hand, a heel DX might shut them up, and would be brilliant to see. Its a shame there isn't room for a heel faction on Raw with Legacy on the rampage.

Well DX were always pseudo-heel (as in they'd disrupt the show) - but I don't see them being full on heels.
DX was always about laughs, and all the recent Legacy vs Evolution stuff has been a tad too serious and not funny really - and hasn't produced any real epic matches either.

Predictions (winners in bold)

Triple H (c), Batista and Shane McMahon vs. The Legacy (Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase) - Shane and/or Batista to join Legacy
John Cena (c) vs. Edge - Another borefest from Cena
Jack Swagger (c) vs. Christian - Time for Swagger to lose the belt
Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy - Jeff slowly bowing out
Chris Jericho vs. Ricky Steamboat - Jericho to finish this Legends crap finally
CM Punk vs. Kane - Kane is finished

Cena loses, well it would seem so

WWE is advertising a future house event next month as an Edge vs Matt Hardy title match so I'm guessing Edge wins

ive also read that cena is going to begin filiming another movie soon aswell so thats another reason why he might lose the belt already.
waste of time giving it to him at mania really :/

I disagree. Vince really doesn't like Christian.

I actually quite enjoyed that match though :) finish was really good to be honest and I kinda didn't see Christian winning it because as you said Tute....Vince really doesnt like him.

Though the segment after the match with Edge was interesting, something could be set up there hopefully.

It's been ok so far tonight with Kane and CMPunk actually providing good entertainment, also surprised Kane got a win on a PPV lol!

Shamefully, I fell asleep in the bit before the Cena-Edge match, although it looks like all I missed was the U-turn by Big Show.

It was an ok-ish PPV. Christian and Big Tree held their own in a good match. The Hardys did okay as well, much better finish than at WM.

Beyond that it just trailed off a bit, the tag match was always about waiting for all hell to break loose and looking for Orton to get the win.

5/10. Not the worst, but disappointing.

Not a bad event last night....

ECW Championship: Great opening contest, Swagger really carried the match but good to see Christian with the win. Hopefully onto a feud with Evan Bourne. As a foot note to this match I really thought that following the post match backstage segment that Christian would cost Cena the Last Man Standing match and realign himself with Edge... shame Big Show got that job :(

Jericho v Steamboat: Not a bad match this although I didn't think Steamboat's showing was as good as his Mania appearance, probably a case of one match too many.

CM Punk v Kane: Probably one of Kane's best matches on ppv in living memory, glad he got the win it's about time he stopped jobbing to smaller wrestlers who shouldn't actually even stand a chance against him and thats coming from a massive CM Punk fan

Hardy v Hardy: Worst match out of the 3 they've had, I still think their Mania match was the best

WWE Championship: Everything sucked apart from the end, now sod off Triple H and give other wrestlers the spot to challenge Orton starting with Batista a feud that has been long overdue

World Heavyweight Championship: Arguably the best match of the night, love the chemistry between those two, loved the constant counters early in the match and loved the never say die attitude of both wrestlers. Shame Big Show ruined the ending

Well trips should be taking some time out for a bit so that in itself made me pretty happy! :D

Also the problem with the Edge/Cena match for me was that it was quite obvious that Edge had to win it, I mean they wouldnt have left Smackdown with just the intercontenental title as their main strap. Decent finish however.

What really was funny last night was the segment involving Santina and JR because it totally looked like JR had no clue what the heck was going on! :D
Also he was raging with Michael Cole at one point during it, cant remember what he said but then JR responded abruptly with "Who fed you that line?!" I just love seeing him annoyed it is very funny indeed!

Gets a 6/10 for me just because it wasnt on Box Office. Nice to see all the titles change hands and I could even suggest that the best matches happened early on, Christian/Swagger and Kane/Punk.

I accidently fell asleep just after the Kane vs Punk match, will re-watch tonight as i have recorded it.

Anyone remember taboo tuesday?, do they still do that?
