The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

Pick #1: Raw selects Mr. Kennedy

This could be a good move. He needs to get back in to the sort of storylines he was in a few years ago. After he won the MITB match I had a feeling he was going to take the Championship on Smackdown and would be given a lengthy run. I hope they do something decent with him on Raw as he's been given very little between injuries.

They need to put real legitimacy back into the IC and United States titles as there are lots of contenders for the WHC and WWE Championships. People like Kennedy could be built up well with a small run on the IC title, 2-3 months after losing it working his way back up into upper card status and then into the title picture.

I'm thinking of going to see an event somewhen and was wondering if someone could let me know how the shows actually work.

I'm traveling around the world atm and will be in Australia soon. I noticed on the wwe website that they've got a set of RAW shows showing around early July. The confusing thing is though, they've got about 5 shows running day after day in differnt places around Australia. I'm guessing one will be the proper show that will be recorded and the others will be house shows with low-card wrestlers. How do you know which is the "proper" one? Surely they don't repeat the show?!!

If that fails I will be in San Francisco later in the year and could go see one there. Do you know if there are any PPV's showing in that area, and how much more would they cost?

Thanks!

Well considering there was also the Christian vs Finlay match for the No.1 Contender spot also it definately seems to be a legit show and could be pretty good. I expected it to his SS but obviously not quite yet! :(

Anyways the draft left a sour taste in my mouth, why put CT on smackdown for the champs to move to RAW? Honestly that makes like no sense whatsoever!

I am ****** off with the angle they have taken a talented guy like Charlie Hass down and one can only assume he is off to smackdown to spoof a new group of superstars.

Now something that WWE always gets right is the tunes they have for their pay per views...with the upcoming Backlash the tune they have is Seasons by The Veer Union!

I suggest you check it out it's really good :)

Wish they had moved Natalya to Raw, turned Beth face (They will) and a nice Natalya/Maryse Vs Mickie/Beth would put the real spark back in the women's division, too.

Unfortunately I seen that one coming a mile off! Natalya has been assosiating herself with Tyson Kidd in ECW recently and its the whole Hart dungeon training thing so they know each other well.

What I do think they messed up however was the way they have split the titles which draws a pretty obvious conclusion for the next PPV!

With Smackdown currently having no title I think it's pretty much nailed on that EDGE will beat Cena at Backlash! I will love to see that anyway but its the only Smackdown vs Raw thing that is happening in terms of a World Title.

However it could along the lines of Punk cashing in Money in the Bank and taking one of the titles to smackdown!

Hopefully it'll be a case of Orton winning the title then Punk cashing in off him, would be interesting to say the least, and the WHC is pretty the "The Smackdown Belt" rather than the World Championship, but time will tell, swerves happen all the time.

Natty, DH and Tyson as the New Hart Foundation like they were in development would be nice, if they actually run with it, and they bloody should!

Still hoping by the end of the year to see a Matt Hardy Vs HHH fued and Jeff Hardy turn heel and have a BIG title battle w/ Punk :)

Neither of those will happen :(

I love how Matt Hardy now sports some sort of Jack Sparrow-esque jacket lol!

Honestly I was really pleased he got drafted to Raw as it shows they are taking him seriously! He has the potential to be a really big player in WWE and hopefully this will follow.

Tbh I could see Punk cashing in and losing :p Since he is the first person to win it twice in a row and they keep on mentioning the fact that no one has ever lost when cashing it in. Typical WWE fashion would suggest that the opposite usually happens.

WM for example "Shawn Michaels has never lost a match to the Undertaker...." mentioned several times in the build up and during. It's just one of those things they do. Like the typical whoever has the upper hand on say Raw before the PPV loses and all that lol!

Jericho Vs Steamboat was announced at RAW last night

That should be a damn good match, and I was hoping the WWE would go down this path. Steamboat showed at WM that he can reasonably go toe to toe with many of the younger wrestlers.

Will probably end up with Steamboat winning but I wonder how they will do it seeing as Steamboat gave all he had at WM and Jericho still won.

There are rumours that Jeff Hardy is leaving aswell.
