The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

Quite possibly :D.
But i'm now all the more wiser, thanks to you sir! :)

Forgot one other thing I was going to add; the STS should not actually make you tap out - it would make you pass out (you are restricting blood flow on the neck to the head) - this means that the correct ending to that move would be the ref seeing if the person is still conscious (instead with Cena the person taps out).

The STF (done correctly) would be a tap-out move though

Being part of tonight's storyline (trying to boost SD ratings I guess).
It's only opening the show and some backstage promo work - nothing major

Punk's heel turn is all but complete then.

I can quite likely see what's going to happen at the Bash as well, regarding his match.

For a heel he was a very fair referee though.

And Vince being there was pointless - really didn't work as well as when he is on RAW

I dont see Punk fully turned heel, they're teasing it because of tomorrow nights match but that'll be where it dies as the match itself has an Edge run in written all over it leading to all 3 in a triple threat at Summerslam

Besides with Edge and Jericho there is no place for Punk to be a heel as well

I doubt it would be a normal triple threat though at Summerslam if there is one - it would have to be some sort of "hardcore" match - such as tables; no holds barred and so on.

Having said that; there is no reason you cannot have 3 major heels on SD - especially since none of the heels get on with each other.
If you bring Morrison in as a main event face then you have Rey, Jeff and Morrison all as faces vs the 3 heels.

Is he not signing or are they not offering him one?

Would be a gigantic blow to lose one of the best wrestlers the WWE has.

He has not signed a new contract; and the current one expires at the Bash ... so unless he signs Monday it will be week be week work.

There's no chance the wwe will leave themselves in the situation of their main draw on Smackdown being able to leave at the drop of a notice. They were stung that way back when Blaze, Hall & Nash all upped a left for WCW.

Despite reports Hardy's contract must have longer to go than today or he must have already signed a new one.

Jeff said:
I might sign a new contract soon but the contract doesn’t expire till July, so I’ll play it day-by-day.
That was back in April and he has yet to sign again - so Wed. is his last contracted day I think

Speculation is that he might be at Summerslam and then take a break

According to the pay-per-view schedule on WWE.com, World Wrestling Entertainment has changed the names of two upcoming pay-per-views.

The No Mercy pay-per-view on October 4th has been renamed "Hell in a Cell". The company had been thinking of doing a Hell in A Cell-themed event in recent weeks with the top matches featuring the company's premiere gimmick match.

It would appear that the Cyber Sunday-themed pay-per-view has been dropped, as the October 25, 2009 event has been renamed "WWE Annihilation."

It was also reported a few weeks ago that WWE had changed the name of Unforgiven, renaming it "Breaking Point."

Wish they'd leave well alone to be honest, firstly it should go back to one PPV per month meaning 12 in total, secondly leave the names as they are. A ppv where every match is a Hell in a Cell match? Talk about overkill and there's me thinking two Elimination Chamber matches is too much at No Way Out. Oh and WWE Annihilation? Yeah because that sounds better than the tried and test Unforgiven :(
