The Black Friday 17 Thread! - pls make sure you understand competitor rules

I'm tempted to bite at that but will hold off til Friday.

I get a feeling that they won't go any lower than that, just maybe have that price without the code, or go to £1400 or something. I'd buy now, get it delivered Friday/Saturday so you can return it if they lower the price even more

That's not a bad plan ;)

It says that voucher is only valid until tomorrow, so probably worth doing what Steedie suggests.

Looks like they've pulled the voucher code. It looks like Amazon temporarily reduced their price to match but it's shot back up now the Curry's voucher is gone. Very sneaky.

You can still request the code, I just did and they generated one for me. They said they've taken it down as LSTV10 was causing too many issues for people and not working. I guess they are just counting on people not asking and paying the £1499

Way too much tat on the Amazon Black Friday pages (and other retailers) makes it too hard to find anything good. Got some some decent bargains a few years ago but now it just feels like every other sale where prices have been hiked the week before.

Btw the Keepa - Amazon Price Tracker extension is very handy to see if the prices are genuine, bit like the TheCamelizer extension but puts it all on the product page for you.

Not had any luck with that unfortunately - both Twitter and Live Chat are saying no to me. Will just hang about and hope a similar priced deal comes up on Friday.

Nice one for that. Very handy!

Managed to get John Lewis to price match the 55in OLED E7 for £1,599. They also confirmed in writing that I will still be eligible for the £500 cash back direct from LG bringing the price down to £1,099. Was dead set on the C7 but this seems too good to pass up! :)

Where have you found the E for £1,599?
