The Black Friday 17 Thread! - pls make sure you understand competitor rules

Save yourself some money and get Innr bulbs...

Ha that would be an idea if I hadn't already invested about £600 in to Hue bulbs

EDIT - Just seen they can be used with a Hue bridge  no Homekit support though :( a lot of my automation is setup with Homekit :(

Doh. Good choice if you just want Hue compatible bulbs though. I have a Hue bridge and a mix of Hue and Innr bulbs, all work fine through the Hue app etc.

It is, it has been cheaper in the past though, so unsure if I should pull the trigger now or wait? I guess I could always return it if it is reduced further.

Ah ok :(

I'm not in need of any, I have enough of them already, but could always add a couple more if the offer is good

I pretty much replaced all the spotlights in our hallway and kitchen with hue bulbs last year thanks to various BF deals :D

Did you replace them with the Hue GU10's White Ambience ones?
If so, whats the light output like? They are rated at 250 lumens which is a little low but would like your opinion? Does it look areas look dark and dinky?

Tempted to get some smart bulbs but I am in a rented house. My bedroom has 4 GU10 (I think) lights but in all honesty, they're a bit crap. I often find myself somewhere in my room thinking it need to be a bit brighter (fine if you're stood right underneath one of the four corners). Option 1 would be to buy 4 smart GU10s but can they come in different brightness's (no idea what mine are but must be low)? Or option 2 would be to buy a nice standing lamp and fit that with a smart bulb.

The Sony MDR1000s are down to 199. They’re the Sony equivalent of the Bose QC35s. I’m really hoping the boss come down to 200. Not convinced the Sony’s are as comfortable.

Just bought 18 Philips Hue GU10 White Ambiance bulbs
Grand Total = £257.63

2x GU10's are normally £49.99 so saved just under £200

Now just waiting for the motion sensor to drop (currently £30) and the Wall Dimmer Switch (Currently £20).

I think I could have a fully smart home in under £600 this Black Friday week :)

I've been looking for hue deals all week, can't find anything less than standard price?

You can't have been looking hard mate.
They are on sale at every major retailer right now.
I managed QuidCo cashback aswell as the QuidCo bonus on these.

3 for the price of 2 deals on at the moment and also 20/25% off

You can get 3 packs of the GU10s (6 bulbs) for £87 and then QuidCo cashback on top which knocks off another few quids.
