Most Black Friday deals are a load of **** I can’t believe the gullible people of the UK fall for it allowing a stupid American tradition to be so big over here.
The so called deals are as you say either off set by increasing the original price or it’s just the same old crap that they have reduced in every other “normal” sale in the past.
Remember on the news a few years back people fighting each other for crappy Polaroid Tv’s in Asda that have sat on the shelves all year yet as soon as they have 25% off people turn into animals fighting for one.
There was even an article in the paper the other day after looking into most of the Black Friday deals from Amazon, Curry’s, Argos etc 70% of the items were already discounted to the same price at some point this year during other sales yet call it “Black Friday” and people are falling over themselves to get a discounted product

I looked after pricing in a larger retailer a few years ago and the stories I heard about black friday in store were just baffling. Discounts weren't really much more than had been done in the past either.

That said, I've picked up a lot of car cleaning kit in black friday sales from a couple of retailers which have definitely not been so cheap :)

Tempted by a fire 7 for £30, just for browsing the net while gaming on my TV, but the lack of google apps has put me off. Especially Youtube as i'd use that a lot.

Those 1070 cards seem to be holding their value, i'm sure i had one in my basket last year for around the same price, but decided to wait for a price drop.

You can load play store onto it, it's the first thing I done when I got mine, the browser it ships with is rubbish I wanted chrome on it
