Just got a Nintendo Switch for £279.99 with Mario Odyssey. I also had a £10 discount code to use which meant I only paid £269.99, so not bad overall.

I have no issue with people that don't want or see the need for this sort of thing. I'm just saying I don't know why you post telling us you don't see the gain for you as you don't live in a tarts boudoir. Seemed pretty stupid statement to me, insinuating that that's the only reason you would want coloured and automated lights makes you come across as a little silly to me.

Because (rumour has it ;)) that a tarts boudoir is supposed to have soft pink lighting. It was meant as a light hearted quip. People who like tech are also allowed a sense of humour.

I've already clocked 110 hours playing D2, doing 3 raids every week and getting every powerful milestone completed on 3 chars. Definitely getting great value of D2 so far, bring on DLCs.

I'm going to have to refer to my membership manual and come back to you on that one. I have a feeling you are incorrect sir and you will receive an infraction. :p

**EDIT** Just for my point on bulbs, I just have 1 smartbulb, in my bedroom. I like that you can still use the light switch if you prefer (just go off then on again and you're at 100% white) but when I got to bed, or put the TV on can turn it off or dim it without getting up.

I also got this deal :)

Apparently it sold out in 2 minutes, guess a lot of people wanted one!

What are people's thoughts on Fire Stick vs Chromecast? I'll mainly be streaming local files and Youtube from my phone and I'm not very deep into Amazon's ecosystem as of now so the Chromecast seems more worthwhile for it's simplicity in those tasks. The Fire stick does look like it offers a lot more though. Worth buying along side or instead of?

My final purchase... got a Fuzz Universe Custom (effect pedal) for £199 reduced from £299 - have wanted this for years but had never been reduced. Dead chuffed!!! :D

Don't get both... would be a waste. They are similar, both quite slow interfaces.

If you want a good thing for what they do and more... Nvidia Shield TV

Not tried Chromecast, but firestick has a Youtube app.

You can cast Youtube on Chromecast.

I've personally had ATV, Chromecast and recently got a Firestick. Firestick is better if you have Amazon Prime whereas Chromecast solid if you don't. ATV sucks though

We have two Chromecast devices. I have found them rock solid on Android or iOS and more reliable than apps on TV or PVR.

My thoughts on ATV is you need to live in the US to get the benefit, not much cop in UK.

please explain how it saves time?

so i'm about to walk into my bathroom. in order to do this I need to WALK PAST THE LIGHT SWITCH. then get into the bathroom. pull my phone out. find the app on my phone. wait for app to load. then find the right bulb i want to switch on. then set what colour and how much light i need. then turn it on. by this time i have wet myself as i couldn't find the toilet.

yeah saves you tons of time i'll buy 1000 of them at £60 each.

Erm you don't. You say hey Alexa turn bathroom lights on. You sound like someone from the year 2015.

Next you'll be telling me you unlock your house with one of those old fashioned metal things.

Ordered a FireTV here to replace a chromecast because I want to be able to use it without a mobile.
