Anyone else tempted by the iRobot Roomba 650 for £229?

Temptation for a robot hoover is large but given I can't justify some bits for my cars I struggle to see why I'd choose to spend it on a robot vacuum instead :p

Bought even more car cleaning stuff today... don't need to buy any more for a few years now!

I was tempted by the roomba in this sale. Then I read the Eufy, which can be had for £180, is better than the roomba 650. So I ordered that instead.

Wasn't looking at buying anything but a friend pointed out that the Linux Academy course site has an offer for a years access for $150/year which is down a lot on the usual level so picked that up as I've been doing curses on there already.

Grabbed a 43" LG 4k tV, 670V model from John Lewis :) Far better than the 720p 32" tv it replaces  Although i've had to move my chair a little further away from the desk :D

What are people's thoughts on Fire Stick vs Chromecast? I'll mainly be streaming local files and Youtube from my phone and I'm not very deep into Amazon's ecosystem as of now so the Chromecast seems more worthwhile for it's simplicity in those tasks. The Fire stick does look like it offers a lot more though. Worth buying along side or instead of?
chromecast all day long if you have an android phone. if iphone then either/or

As usual, only things I find myself buying are spirits. Bagged a bottle of Bulleit Bourbon and Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva rum. Yum!

I also got this deal :)

Apparently it sold out in 2 minutes, guess a lot of people wanted one!

Well done to anyone that got this. My boy has been saving for months to buy one and we told him to wait until BF - we missed out on both time it was listed. :(

No idea whether this covers the same content. But in case you have time to reconsider, Udemy has thousands of courses down to £10 for BF. A quick look shows some are Linux related.

No, I've done training with Udemy and their courses are not really at the same level at all. Udemy tends to have their courses at £10 quite often throughout the year not just this weekend (I've had several of their courses this in other subjects this way in the past).

edit: Although I would say that there are some Udemy courses which may be worth picking up for that prices the A Cloud Guru puts one of their guys (Ryan Kroonenburg) courses on there. You could, at least when I looked at it earlier this year, buy them for cheap on Udemy and then take those purchases and apply it to their own site which is a better learning experience.
