The Boys (Amazon Prime)

Never watched a show, where so many characters make my skin crawl :) I want them all killed off immediately.
 
I was really excited to get season 2 then watched it and was disappointed.. Mostly talking only just made it to e3.. S1 was loads better

OMG I never realised he was in Banshee. I'm normally really good with faces but totally missed that one.

I get the feeling Karl Urban is really enjoying this role. Its such a great character.

Same with Dredd. You can really tell by the way he REALLY wants a sequel. He was great behind the helmet! "I AM THE LAW!" Ok wrong one.. :D

Absolutely he was a brilliant Dread, was a great movie as well. Really surprised a sequel has not been made. I think their was talk of a TV series though, maybe thats whats killed it.

I agree, they wasted a lot of the energy build up with the first season, it is not going to help that we will need to wait a week for new episodes.
 
Read a few of the The Boys comics now, any disappointed fans or other fans in general well worth checking them out in that bundle. Much darker tone in the comic, great seeing how they do things differently and what they keep the same. Not too worried about spoilers as they're so different overall.

The TV show changes are still a really good way of doing it despite being so different from the comics. As an aside that 2000AD bundle was good as well, contains first few hundred Judge Dredd strips within it. Also the Zenith series by Grant Morrison, a lot of parallels with The Boys in that one, also Halo Jones etc, great bundle overall. 2 days left for that one now I think.

It's probably one of the options they're looking at, along with other potential funding/networks/distributors.

It wouldn't be centered around Dredd, although he would likely be a recurring character.

AFAIK, they have their own huge soundstage for it.

Just finished my season one re-watch really enjoyed it. I think all the characters apart from Butcher and Stillwell are as good or better than the comic. Butcher I think loses some agency and the season finale basically robs him of purpose, the comic is much clearer. Butcher is also not as manipulative or playing the long game in the tv show vs the comic. Partly because of some other decisions especially regarding the CIA plot thread. Stillwell started well but really ran out of steam, the comic character was a much better strategist and had a more impressive control over the Seven, I wonder if Esposito’s character will be more like the comic Stillwell.

Really enjoyed it still and can’t wait to start season two.
