It doesn’t really matter a great deal they’re so far off the plot of the comic that the characters have to be different to deliver whatever the shows plot requires. Don’t get me wrong I thought the first season was great, but it’s inspired by the concept of the comic it’s not tv dramatisation of it.l
I agree it’s an opportunity lost. But let’s hope their plan is just as significant.I am a little disappointed with the huge divert they've taken away from the comic at the end of S1...comic spoilers follow
Namely that Butchers wife seems to have happily had an affair. One of the darkest moments of that series, let alone any comic series is when Butcher wakes to find the foetus has ripped out of his wife and he has to beat it to death
I have to say, thinking back on the season one of my fav scenes was when Butcher was using the babys laserbeam eyes to kill the security guards. It was so funny
First show I've seen Anthony in since Banshee and took a while for me to get used to him with hair but damn does he play his role so well.
yea I didn't recognise it was him for a bunch of episodes but he's superb in this imo.First show I've seen Anthony in since Banshee and took a while for me to get used to him with hair but damn does he play his role so well.
“I had a job when I was 15 working at a supermarket, and I knocked over a stack of plastic coffee cups. In my anger, I threw one at a concrete wall, and it rebounded back into my head and cut my head open. Stupidest way to get a scar, but it’s one that I have.” – Antony Starr
Got barely anything in common with comic by this point other than the characters so interested to see if they can pull together a compelling overall arc.
I really enjoyed the first season but it seems like a long time ago when it was on.
