The Boys (Amazon Prime)

This is getting - as you’d expect with an adaptation that’s diverged entirely from the source material - a slight flavour of making it up as they’re going along now.

Myself, only having read a couple of comics from the start, makes no difference to me as I have no idea what is from the comics or not. thoroughly enjoyable series though.

I don't know, we might have ended up there an entirely different way, but Homelander is definitely giving off the same vibes he did in the last arc of the comic.

I agree, the main thing lacking is the sense that someone has an on overall plan. In the comics Butcher has a plan, a long game and the comic plays that out to a pretty satisfying conclusion. In the TV show no one has a plan, and the comic is just wall paper to decorate the show with.

I enjoyed the first episode, The Boys TV show has a certain quality of it's own but as suggested above it has practically nothing to do with the comic. Even Homelander is straying seriously off piste and no other character is close to a true reflection of the comic equivalent character. I'm really enjoying the ride but I continue to worry it will run out of steam badly because no one has a plan for the plot.

Good start to s3, hoping that Butcher doesn't become addicted to having supe powers. Looking forward to them hopefully finding Solider Boy and seeing how Homelander reacts.

Such a good watch, the hour flies by and I'm never bored which is saying something with my attention span
Yeah, something I noticed yesterday was how quick the hour moves on.

I still can't stand Karl's terrible cockney accent. He's saying all the right things, but almost in a robotic manner, with each syllable separated from the next.
