The Boys (Amazon Prime)

@No1newts the tone of much of comics doesn’t suit the tv show or tv in general. Some bits will do well though, the finale in particular. A few key bits of the comic have been. Burned by the tv series. The tv show is great but other than the premise and some characters they don’t have a lot in common so far.

There is probably 4/5 seasons of solid material from the comics despite being 12 volumes. There's a very distinct lull and drop in quality during volumes 5-8 ish.
 
This is a 10/10 for me.

Casting, directing, everything. Loved every second.

This and Chernobyl have been real tv highlights this year.
 
Just finished this. Wow excellent show!

It’s got that same dark deadpool kinda feel to it, which is why I love this show so much. Very refreshing indeed.

Cant wait for season 2.

Easy 10/10
 
I am at Episode 6 and wow, it's so ******* good! There are two scenes which should be elevated to legendary status:

1) The Dolphin scene in E04
2) The Baby scene in E05.

LOL! :D

Will give a further review when I finish the series. :)

I'm just starting ep 5 and I'm completely loving it. The casting is great too. The dolphin scene in ep4 had me laughing out loud on a morning commuter train. Please, please, please have a second series :)

Same - just watched those 2 episodes last night- Laughed so hard.....pure genius. Even the wife, who wasn't that bothered about watching it, ended up laugh so hard at those two bits.
 
Looks like the trailer is being taken down everywhere from Youtube - I watched it yesterday, looks just as awesome as the first to me!
 
A very belated - well that was bloody brilliant.

Also took me a few episodes to realise that was Urban doing a British accent :p. And the gills/fingers scene was quite unsettling.
