I washed the wheels on Thursday, wash, clay, polish and waxed the car on Friday, and Saturday finished buffing off and did the windows. I think it took over 6 hours in total.

I don't like the Simoniz shampoo though, feels very cheap so think I will return it and go back to Megs.

Now I can see all the dents and scratches the car has picked up by family use and car parks.

Nitro Mors is pretty good at stripping wax :p

Am still yet to find a better wash than Megs NXT wash.

Had a mild cleaning session yesterday. Will put up some pics in my own thread.

i ordered a 'EZ detail' wheel cleaning brush which got delivered today and it is much bigger than i expected... these are the wheels i've got:

do you think it'll work on these wheels, or do you think i should exchange for the 'mini' EZ detail brush instead?

Driving a white vehicle, I get huge amounts of squat flies on the front at this time of year. They take ages to clean off with normal shampoo and sponge. Are the bug sprays worth using?

Bang out and Hoover mats

Results-

Conclusion-

Look very shiny, claying makes the pain like glass. Little correction achieved but then I’m using product with little to no cut. SRP didn’t fill many of the swirls either. Certainly looks good, it’s only when you get very close in the right light can you see any of the imperfections.

If anyone has any tips for cleaning mats or interiors in general that would be good.

Next-

Get a DA machine cleaner!

What do you think?

You might need a couple or three passes with SRP for the full benefit, then wax over the top.

This is what I've read on detailing world, so in a nut shell I need to polish it three times.

Is the AG EGP the right thing to be using after or should I use a wax instead or even as well as?

Thanks

Wax will last longer.

Get yourself some Colinite 476 and enjoy protection for months.

I need something (two products if necessary) for my dash board as well as exterior plastics.

I recently did the external plastics with some bumper and vinyl cleaner gel, but this has left an almost greasy residue and a gloss to the external plastics, which not only looks a bit tacky IMO, but it picks up fingerprints and dust really easily.

For the internal and dash plastics, I don't want anything glossy, or anything that is going to leave too much of a residue, just something that will clean and restore depth to the plastics.

I don't suppose anyone near the Oxford/Abingdon area has a DA machine polisher I could use? I do want to buy one, but I want to see if some of the marks on my paint are worth tackling before paying for one. I don't think they are too deep, but it's hard to tell

You will be compensated with money and beers of your choice :D

Unless you can feel them with your fingernail, they'll come out with a DA.
