Washed with APC then AG Shampoo, AG SRP then HD Wax. Wish I'd clayed it now but It's so knackering lol. Fair play to guys that do this as a profession, must have forearms of steel!

Which bits of the car do you generally clean with All Purpose Cleaner?

I personally use it as a sort of snowfoam, degunking session. Obviously you don't want to do it if you've already got polish/wax on there as it will strip it. But its a lot stronger than normal shampoo and will shift the actual grime a lot better.

Just spent 5h cleaning the Celica. Didn't do the interior though.

Washed alloys twice with AG wheel clean (soon to be replaced with Bilberry)
Washed car with AG body shampoo
Clayed with Megs clay bar and quick detailer
Waxed with Megs Gold Class.

Knackered, and can't find the energy right now to go take a pic. Uber shiny though, and can't help smiling when looking at it.

Next time I do such a big clean, I intend to do polish using AG SRP as the paintwork could really do with it but I can't imagine spending another hour or 2! Might do a few panels at a time.

Couple of questions:
Anyone got any discount codes for Cleanyourcar or other places?
I can't get tiny stubborn marks (tiny bird poo and tar remnants) off the paint using the claybar; what can I try?

I've just cleaned mine after having it literally caked in mud following some hoonage along some wet muddy back roads. It was literally caked on the doors / arches / wings, never has my car been so filthy. Is there a better way to remove it rather than just hosing it off and using a sponge, onto which it comes off like clay? :p

I use Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover. It shifts anything, even those annoying little black spots you described. I've never clayed a car in my life, but this stuff seems to work nicely for removing stubborn visible contamination.

Gave my new car a clean yesterday, phew what a mission, washed with 2 bucket method, clayed with Megs NXT speed detailer as lube, then waxed with AG HD wax. Very pleased with the results, trim treated with AG Vinyl and Rubber Care, and glass with AG Glass Polish.

Didnt have some sort of polish or glaze I wanted to use, but after reading up I'll be ordering some PB White Diamond, and will DEFINITELY be getting hold of some Acrylic Jet Trigger. Can anyone comment on these? Especially for a silver car? (dont have a machine polisher..) Also (noob here!) can you wax windows? I dont have any specific sealant at the moment, but the tint on Fords nowadays are pretty much pitch black so any dust or rainmarks really show up!

Anyway, here's some twoblacklines phone pics, I'll get some better ones up when I drive it somewhere worth it!

Cleaned my MR2 today, used triplewax car shampoo then turtlewax metallic. I also used Tcut metallic colour restorer a couple of weeks back. Not bad for a 15 year old car I think.

Sorry for the poor quality pics, they're off my iPhone.

Left the photos till it was too dark unfortunately and the background is hardly complimentary, but I'm pleased with the result of the work in these pics. Re: the wet sanding, it doesn't sound something I'd do but I'll read up anyway.

Very nice Focus ST ;)

I've got a Machine Silver Ford Focus (I'll try to sort out some pictures) but I go for a base layer of Werkstat Prime Strong followed by Dodo Juice Red Mist (similar to Acrylic Jet Trigger). I already had the Dodo Juice hence just buying the Prime Strong. If I was buying again I'd probably go for the Werkstat Acrylic Kit :)

Windows I'd go for Carlack Glass Sealing Kit as it cleans the glass and coats it so rain just beads off. Plus unlike RainX it actually lasts for quite a while :)

Cheers mate, really happy with it :D The HD Wax, despite having good results, was just the straw that nearly broke my back after all the claying etc, especially after working on the wheels :o so a spray sealant sounds ideal :D

Will have a go at that carlack kit also, a lot of people seem to use it!
