Guys, I'm out of shampoo, and to be honest I have never been too impressed with my Meguiars stuff, it was never suddy ! :(

So recommend me some shampoo, and a washmit please. Along with some decent microfibre clothes :)

I like this stuff a lot, and smells good too:D

That's in my delivery posted above, it's great, I used to use Autoglym, but I'm never going back after washing the car with it for the first time today. Snow foaming it, then only washing and drying and the car looks great. I only used two capfuls and that managed me plenty.

I also got the Megs lambswool wash mitt, which is great, never ever using a sponge again, the amount of grit I was getting out of the mitt into the second bucket was insane.

This went in 'Show us your Motors' as well, but I thought I'd make a post here to go into a bit more detail of what was done.

It was washed at home, in the rain - chucked in the garage to be dried and then I took it down the unit this evening.

In about 2.5 hours I managed to give it a quick polish (#83 with polishing pad), wax, attend to plastic trims and glass.

I see little point in trying to correct too much on this car, as it just makes the bad stuff look worse - I just went for what would give the best 'effect' in as little time as possible.

The blue stains on the bonnet are water stains/burns and they are really thick - I need to give wet sanding a crack, but I do not hold high hopes without damaging the surrounding paint (I've measured the thickness of these "stains" and they read over my PTG's accurate threshold at around 1200um).

I cannot remember the last time I saw another one on the road.

It is a shame that it's such a pig to drive on the road, otherwise I'd love to Tax, MOT and insure it for the odd occasional blast.

I am currently using Triplewax car shampoo and Triplewax car polish. Combined with drying it with a microfiber cloth, the car looks great everytime. However, I would like to protect it with a good wax - what do you guys recommend? Have been looking at the Autoglym High Definition Car Wax, any good?

My pride and joy :o:p

that's cool, scotland still has some snow!
Was took about 3 weeks ago :p

Weren't you able to get it all in shot? Even TBL could teach you a thing or two!
It's my crappy camera on my phone.
Has someone broken into that garage on the end or something? :o
Correct :o think there are only 5/6 garages out of 17 that are still usable.! Much safer to leave the car parked on the street :p

it clearly is NOTHING to do with your camera lol :D why couldn't you just walk a bit further from the car and snap the pic? the quality looks good-ish for the phone anyway.

Tip I used at weekend, don't know if it is acceptable for detailing though?

Add some fabric softener to your soapy bucket when you clean the plastics, I did and it looks lovely jubbly and smells rather nice too.

Guys I want to get 'snow foam ready' but cheaply as possible because I'm a massive tight arse. I have a decent working hose what would be the cheapest most effective foam attachment for hose?

I hear foaming doesn't neccersarily need to be done via pressure washer, also anyone have any promotional codes for these cleaning product websites knocking about?
