Washed mine yesterday but as it was so muggy and warm it dried before I could dry it, so it's left water marks everywhere :(

Prefer washing it in the rain, always dries nice then :p

Used a microfibre cloth to dry the car for the first time on Saturday, instead of the usual chamois. Definitely sticking to the microfibre cloths! I always feel I have to wax the car after chamoising it, as it never seems to shine. With the microfibre it looked freshly waxed!

Can recommend this - Meguiars Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel

Does anyone in the Berkshire area have a rotary or random orbital polisher they would like to lend me for a couple of days please?
Alternatively how good are the ebay Silverline rotary polishers?

Hey chaps, what's the consensus amongst you cleaning fanatics with regards to the best tyre/wheel cleaners?

Just ordered this for the tyres so I just need a wheel cleaner now!

For cleaning the tyres / wheels I keep a separate bucket with a sponge and wheel cleaning brush (Meguiars Ultra Safe Alloy Wheel Spoke Brush). I just use car shampoo rather than wheel cleaners and to dress the tyres I use either Meguiars High Gloss Hot Shine Tyre Spray or Autoglym Instant Tyre Dressing.

Picked up AG Custom Wheel Cleaner today and used it on her car as the wheels where a mess. It's not a bad kit for £15 you get 500ml spray that foams up well and 3 assorted brushes for cleaning.

Me too, plus you can wash the microfibres at 60c at they won't shrink!

I lost 4 Chamois (shrunk by 75%) because of this!

I've got one (the orange one) and it's been great...obviously if you push down on a panel it won't maintain a constant RPM but a quick blip on the thumb wheel remedies that.

Cool thanks, did you get it from ebay? They seem to go for about £45 on there. Ive got 2 cars I want to do. What kind of pads did you get with yours?

I did but it came without pads - I genuinely can't remember what pads I'm using now, I have two sorts. But I use Menz polishes with both and they work fine (I'm no pro detailer though so ask around)

I've been looking at getting a DAS-6 PRO from CleanYourCar.co.uk, they have a starter pack for £140. Seems a bit pricey but I know it'd be put to good use over many years. I really need to sort my headlight out and get rid of the swirling on my car.

I am loving AG Aqua Wax, sooooo easy to put on, you can put it on after polishing then rinse and while wet, put on the wax, hence Aqua Wax. Saves time and it comes up soooooo good!

Bought some Super Resin Polish today because I have a few finger marks that washing just wouldn't remove. Very good product, marks disappeared instantly after application and the buffing process left a nice shine, even on silver.

Car Plan Tyre Slik is also advisable as a cheap, easy to use tyre spray :)

After seeing DM's leather, I think it's time to gliptone my seats.
What product should I use to clean the leather first?

+1, I bought a microfibre towel a couple of weeks back after years of using a chamois - it's so much more absorbent, makes drying the car a breeze.
