Right, these odour bomb thingies. Some folk on other car related forums and some of the instructions for use on various suppliers websites are saying you activate it inside the car, and have the air con switched on and the "recirculate" button activated. Then leave it to fully empty the canister and don't open the doors for approx 2 hours.

So let me get this straight - You leave the car with its engine running and the aircon switched on for 2 hours whilst all this magic occurs?.

2 hours? They're having a laugh.

The instructions on the box clearly tell you what to do :p Once the can is empty, you can open the door and do whatever. I've used these twice in the past on old cars.

Cheers.

The previous times you used these, did you find that this "oily residue" that can in some cases get left behind, coating the interior of the vehicle, was an issue?.

It's not really that oily if you're using the Comma (sp?) stuff, it does leave some residue which can be wiped off easily enough though.

I only use 3 products on the inside, Zaino Z10 for the leather (seats, armrests and doors) and Poorboys Natural Look Dressing for the top of the dash and centre console sides, basically all the textured trim panels inc the lower door card trims.

The cente console itself and handbrake area trim is smoother textured than the dash top and I found the gels give a slippery finish to that area so on there I use Simoniz Matte spray as it gives those smoother areas a matte non slip finish.

Cheers

Ordered Zaino Z10 and poorboys natural look :)

Had a go with some Simoniz Instant Wax "Quick Shine" today (Spray wax) and was quite impressed. Its never going to be as good as some foam pad applied paste wax but for a quick job, it gives a nice finish.

I found once the MF cloth got damp with wax i needed a second cloth to take off the residue from the body work otherwise you could see some dried residue (probably wouldn't see it on a light car E.G Silver, though!).

Not bad for a couple of quid :)

I just bought off eBay a kit which included the following:

- DAS-6 PRO Dual Action Polisher
- Chemical Guys - White 5.5" Hex-Logic Pad
- Chemical Guys - Black 5.5" Hex-Logic Pad
- Chemical Guys - Orange 5.5" Hex-Logic Pad
- 6" backing pad
- 5" backing pad
- Sonus SFX-2 Enhance Polish
- Sonus SFX-3 Final Finish Polish
- 3M 3434 Masking Tape Width - 25mm
- Cleanyourcar.com storage bag

Should be good to sort my headlights out and give my car a good detail. Will probably sell it afterwards as I'll be leaving the country by the time it needs doing again.

Finally bought some Autosol metal polish stuff. Shiny for once!

Which snow foam would be best for not lifting the wax off my car? Been looking to purchase 25L of the stuff but im unsure what to go with. The turtle wax stuff i used last time has taken off the wax :(

Anyone know of some good stuff? Only want as a pre wash and not for getting the car spotless in one sitting.
