Those Dr Leather wipes are really good (pricey though). Can I ask why you bought the spray as well?

The spray is for more deep cleaning, so the first time ill use the spray and then just top up with the wipes when i wash the car normally.

Doesn't this leave the wheel slippery? I'm always reluctant to use any sort of product on the wheel/gearknob/handbrake.

This stuff is not a product in the way a lot of leather conditioners are, it doesnt leave anything behind, it is a CLEANER, not a moisturiser or feed or anything like that, it just returns the leather back to how it was when it left the factory, which on my phone case it has done exactly that. It had gone flat, shiny and a bit hard, since cleaning it last night it is now really soft again, nice matt finish and the slight seude finish has returned too, which i didnt think would be possible. The entire point is to remove the slipperyness that happens to steering wheels etc over time :)

If anything it's more grippier now after I cleaned it.

Excellent. Where did you pick it up from? Have always scratched my head when it came to steering wheel cleaning.

I bought mine from envy valeting, who uses the product himself for detailing quite a lot of high end cars, inc ferraris etc. After i'd ordered, the guys at Dr Leather themselves replied to my email, and were a bit cheaper:

Darryl Cassingham <[email protected]>

Drop him a line. options are either wipes or liquid spray, either 40 or 150 packs for wipes and 500ml or 1l (or huge tubs) for the spray. The spray was £19 inc postage iirc from him.

After all the road surfacing over the past few days my car is stinking!

Let's hope the weather on the weekend is good enough for a wash!

same down Surrey way - bloody stuff has made my car look even dirtier! It'll be some Scandinavian cedar forest pollinating again..

If that Dr leather is a good cleaner, what's the best stuff to feed and condition the leather afterwards?

You're not meant to, thats what leaves it looking rubbish according to the experts.

DO NOT condition the leather!

Conditioning will make leather look shiny. The leather needs to "breathe", and a simple wipe or mist with the spray is sufficient enough the clean any oils and residues sitting on top of the leather.

Dirty rain!

2012-06-28%2012.05.03.jpg

I was meaning to ask if anyone else had this. All our cars look just like that after a light dusting with rain yesterday :/

mine looks horrific at the moment due to sandy rain. damn black :(

worse than that above orangey white spots everywhere. id go out and wash it but its literally raining on and off every half hour

It's likely caused by the dust on your car mixing with the rain. It's a nightmare!

It's turned up on every car down my street at once, it's definitely some sort of sand or dust in the rain that's falling. My car was 20 miles away as well and the rain there was the same. Seen loads of people out rinsing their cars off today, they look horrendous.

It was on the news this morning. It was a dust storm in north Africa that got carried over here and then dumped with the rain last night.
My S2000 is currently brown.
Jetwash it off for god's sake. Don't even think about sponge washing it if you don't like swirl marks.

i went to the garage with the idea of jet washing some off before the next downpour but many others shared my idea. il honestly be tempted to do it it 5am on the way to work even if i look like a lunatic

cba getting the gear out here because the skys black again

car looks like a reverse leopard

Mine looks the same. I had spent yesterday afternoon washing and cleaning it. :o

Tried a quick rinse with the hose earlier but it hasn't really helped. Jet washing would be better?
