That Chemical Guys Trim Gel has just so many uses :D

i need some new mf cloths. i had a set of large meguires ones and like most meguires products, it was utter crap.

whats a good, large, cheap mf cloth that also dries well?

The cross stitched ones are the ones I have for quick drying jobs (super terry for large areas).

I got mine from some other shop I can't remember but Halfords do similar ones though I think theirs are a bit smaller than mine.

The piled MF cloths are great for buffing off wax/polish and also interior glass + trim but the crossstitched ones are the best for body drying I found.

I use the giant waffleweave drying towel from cleanyourcar and I managed to dry the A3 in around 5-6 minutes as opposed to 20 odd minutes with a chamois. Not bad for a tenner and I would never go back to a chamois again, it just makes the job so much easier. I just blanket an area with the huge cloth, pull it off the panel and it ll be bone dry!

Those BMW engines look like an utter pig to work on. Half of it is hidden!

They are, especially getting dust out of all the nooks and crannies!

Did mine today aswell. First I did a quick hoover of the bay to remove any loose dirt then set about with a bucket of mild car shampoo and a clean cloth with some elbow grease readily applied. I then used some Rubber + Vinyl Care courtesy of Autoglym and these are the final results. Not bad for 7 years and 130k :D

Proper engine bay ;)
