New to detailing.

Can this BSD be used after washing without the need to dry first? Would make my life easier if it gives the same results as drying and then applying.

There are people using like that, I haven't tried it that way though.

Best thing to do is just buy some big microfibre cloths, can dry the car in a minute or two. Wilko do some quite cheap 70cm ones for three quid.

Ordered my first machine polisher stuff today :)
1 x CleanYourCar DAS-6 polisher
1 x Menzerna Compounding Pads 135mm
1 x Menzerna Polishing Pads 135mm
1 x Menzerna Finishing Pads 135mm
1 x 250ml - Menzerna Power Finish (IPF2300)
1 x 250ml - Menzerna Final Finish (SF4500)
1 x 5" Backing plate

Can't wait to get stuck in!

The massive ultra-plush drying towels are awesome, I saw some in Asda which looked really good for not much money, can zip around the car in no time without having to wring it out or be left with water marks on the car.

Ok thanks. Have ordered a bottle so will probably end up trying it both ways.

Finally got round to doing a decent wash today including clay, polish and wax. Excuse the poor Nexus 5 photo. Next big job is probably going to be getting the alloys refurbished at some point.

So she may not be the newest or the fastest car around, but, shes my baby none the less. Had her 2 weeks now and i've never had so much fun driving (previous car was a peugeott 307).

Anyway today spent 5 hours cleaning her top to bottom inside and out. Unfortunately now its so clean, you can see the paintwork chips etc so obviously. Going to go and find out the price of having them all sorted, within reason...

Spent a good 6 hours finally sorting the paint out on our Zetec S as I had started calling it the Zetec Swirl :D

Process/products as follows:
Wheels cleaned with Bilberry + Iron X
Snow Foam
Jet Wash
Hand wash with Meguiar's Gold Class shampoo
Clayed
Tar removed with Auto Glym Tar Remover
Washed again
Jet Wash + Dry
Door Jamb's cleaned with Auto Finesse Verso
Each panel had 2 passes from the DA using Chemical Guys Orange Hex pads + Menzerna PF2300, then a final pass with SF4500 on a Menzerna medium polishing pad
Paint protected with Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax + V7 Sealant for the time being as I'm waiting on some new Colinite 476 in the post :D

No before pictures but grabbed these two afterwards, rubbish phone camera doesn't do it justice but the paint is like a mirror now

Need to try this Sonax stuff, looks excellent!

Doesnt the beading leave water marks when they dry though? Shouldnt the water sheet off?
