I think I'll be using it permanently after each wash.

That's what I was thinking of doing. Currently after each wash I quickly do a couple of panels each time on a rotational basis with Triplewax Fast-wax stuff, which works really well, brings up the paint nice and glossy and helps the water beading between washes. It's easy enough to apply but BSD looks like it could be a cracking alternative. So it's just wipe on, wipe off? And can it be applied to panels which aren't completely dry yet?

Ta.

Yep, pretty much is wipe on, wipe off (or spray on, wipe off - depending on how you feel :p)

I've not yet applied it to a wet panel, but I've read some people do it that way on DW so you should be golden.

The water beading is incredible on this stuff though, a quick blast down the dual carriageway by work is often enough to have the car dry again

Might aswell ask in here.

I picked up a BWM z4 convertible 2 days ago. Next week im having it professionally valleted inside and out and detailed.

Once done, what should I be doing to "keep on top of it" in terms of regular cleaning etc, and any line of products or equipment to keep things looking brand new for as long as possible?

Thanks

You want a nice easy to apply sealent for the paintwork, if you go for a proper wax all the time you'll soon get fed up of spending an hour every time you wash it protecting it, I recommend Chemical Guys V7 Sealent, can do the whole car in 10 minutes and it'll keep up your paint protection.

How about a general shampoo/wash product? Anything inparticular recommended as best? Same goes for the wheels / tyres etc, I guess theres going to be something different for those.

Picked up some Iron X and a snow foam lance last week and used last weekend. Was a little disappointed with the amount of dirt removed by the snow foam (next to none) but the overall result looked cleaner.

I wetted down the car first before applying the snow foam and wondered if that was my mistake?

I wasn't impressed with most of the snow foams I tried, the only one that seemed to actually clean the car was Magifoam but that took longer to clean off the drive than it did to wash the car.

I've relegated foam to the colder months now and just give it a going over with a pre-wash or straight in with a mitt and Dodo Juice BTBM

Snowfoam = Overhyped.

Pickup some Citrus Pre-wash and a 2L garden pump sprayer. Just dilute, spray on, leave 5mins, power wash, then get on with your wash as normal.

It'll remove as much dirt (if not more) than snow foam, will cost less and take less time.

if you have a snowfoam bottle aready just stick the citrus pre-wash in there, Works well,,

The Citrus Pre-wash on CYC is wax Friendly..
