Cleaned the car today and borrowed dad's Metro Vac Master Blaster to dry it off with. The thing has 8 horsepower purely for blowing air to dry off your car with. Completely unnecessary and way over the top, but simply amazing to use. Amazing for blasting water out of shuts etc and drys wheels with no effort at all. Probably not worth the money, but have to say you don't really care when using it.

Three hundred. And fifteen. Pounds.

To dry a car.

Is it easy to apply and remove by hand?

I found application very easy using a normal foam applicator, the wax itself is actually quite soft in the tin so it spreads easily too. 476 gets a hard time in reviews for being hard to remove but I have to say I didn't find this at all, it's very tough lasting so doesn't need to be piled on thick, nice thin application and it'll buff off easily :)

Can anyone recommend some polish/wax that dries clear ie does not leave white residue.. after my recent problem with wax in tiny chips I don't want that to happen again.

Despite the sun, I still gave the car a good clean today. Washed, waxed and sealed.

Collinite 845 is lovely stuff to apply and buff off. I only did the one layer today as it was scorching in the sun. But I topped it off with sonax bsd too. Gonna go out and grab a picture in a bit.

The only thing I'm not currently happy with is the iron fall out specs. But I've got some stuff to do that another time.

Any tips for protecting new paint? Had the bonnet painted.

Was going to clean and wax it with the bilt hamber stuff I already have.

Quick vid showing just how good Collinite 476s is at repelling water, this is with just a single coat applied 2-3 weeks ago :)

Colli is good but try the Sonax Polymer Net Shield or their Brilliant Shine Detailer to see how to truly repel water.

They make colli look like glue.

Can you suggest a rotary polisher for an amateur please gents? Really fancy learning to use one of these!

I figured I'd pick up a couple of bonnets from scrap yards to practice on first, and then perhaps attack a friend a4 avant as its plastered in scratches!

Thanks

Would anyone care to recommend me a decent snow foam please?

Having recently found out just how disappointing Halfrauds Demon Wash really is (my wife bought it) I said I'd buy the next load and promised it would be better . . . . . .
