Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection is my personal favourite. Just wipe over the car. Leave for 30 mins to a day (depends on you preference, it works great if left for just 30 mins or so), then wipe off. It is impressive stuff - both in finish and ease of use.

Thanks

I've just read the bottle of my "super resign polish" and it says to use that afterwards

I actually have Sunday afternoon to get this all done (im out in the morning) I normally don't have the space to clean my car, otherwise I would normally do it myself

cheers

Super resin polish first (could go over the paint a few times if you have any scratches). Then the extra gloss protection on top.

If you want to go one step further you can always clay the car after washing and before polishing...only really necessary if there is a lot of tar etc that doesn't come off with a wash.

Enjoy your Sunday afternoon! I am going to be doing the same :) (mine if already waxed though, so just needs a top up with some Aqua wax).

My biggest problem is the layer of whatever it is on my windscreen that smears in the rain. Have tried Autoglym fast glass, Polish and RainX. Nothing worked so far...next step is white spirit :)

cheers

I just hope I can get it all done

im out with the cycling club in the morning, probably wont be back until 1pm, then i'll have lunch, so only got like 2 hours to wash and polish and wax it !

Go else where if you're going to spend £300.

You could probably find somewhere that will polish the car + apply gtechniq (sealant) for that sort of money.

Any suggestions for a product/method to remove the glue used for wheel weights?

Had the rear rubber changed and have this left behind...

It's like most sorts of furry adhesive but think it might be a bit stubborn.

Tar remover, heat and patience. Since it's on the wheel you could probably get away with using a credit card to scrape it up once you've softened it.

Had a 'proper' session today involving a DA machine polish (couple of passes with Meguiars Ultra Cut and Ultra Finishing compound) and waxed with Collinite 476. Took all day but I think it looks pretty good now!

The paint was on the whole very good but we managed to sort out a few imperfections.

I find that during the winter months where there's more 'crap' on the bodywork, it does a good job of removing much of it so that when you start washing, you're not rubbing as much of it around the paintwork. You can see as it dribbles down onto the driveway how much it takes off!

Tbh I find a pressure washer gets at least 80% of the dirt off. Never bothered with snow foam myself.

I see some people stating that they just give the car a quick rinse/snow foam and don't bother with a proper wash. Unfornately, I can't get away with that on a black car.

Howard that is stunning! Despite your car being relatively new that paint work is better than showroom finish. Great job! I may have to get you to do mine next time! ;)
