Any one in and around fife with a porter cable want to make some money for doing my Black Type r, Swirltastic ;)

I use a 99p shoebrish for the Chemical Guys gel on the tyres - does the job great and only 99p :D

2 (possibly stupid questions)...

1 - swirl marks are caused by rubbing particles back into the car thus scratching it, because of a bad washing technique right? If so then why are swirl marks always in perfect circles ? :i
2 - why do so many people rate Collinite wax (seems 'cheap' to me?), when spending a bit more could get you a much better wax with (probably) much better results? - Stuff like Zymol/Swissvax ?

I've got one of those - but i'm never sure how much stuff to put on the tyre. I use the chemical guys trim gel which says "less is more", but does this mean about one line of the stuff along the middle of the applicator should be enough for the whole tyre or am i being too conservative? I usually find that it seems quite difficult to get a small amount spread across the whole tyre

Did an after-winter detail today and was the first time I tried claying. Picked up the Meg's clay kit and went to work with it, was suprised how simple it was to use and even more suprised with the amount of gunk it picked up considering its a 4 month old car!

I then took out my newly acquired Werkstat Acrylic kit, 1 coat of Prime and 2 coat of Jett Trigger went on within 1 hour. The glossy finish was impressive and I dont think I will be going back to ordinary wax/sealant anytime soon, it was just so quick and easy to use.

Bad news was that I found a rather large stone chip on the bonnet :(
