And ive just realised i need some wax. Theres no point claying and polishing the car without any is there. Best nip out and get some. Is auto glym aqua liquid wax any good?

Least the weather is ok for car cleaning today, overcast all day.

Halfords should do the AG HD Wax kit - that's good stuff by all accounts.

Although the AG Liquid Wax should be ok :) it's a lot like the Sonus BSD stuff

Reminds me that the Golf is in a desperate need of a polish and wax!

Hd wax isgood but not at £45.

There are a lot better waxes out there for cheaper. That fusso that I got was only 19 and its much better. But obviously if you are in a hurry then you are limited to what halfrauds have got.

Such as*? As I have not found anything better for the price range and longevity of the wax

*Never seen fusso wax

It's a detailing world hype wax. Cheap and not even nice to apply.

Collinite 476s is similar money and will protect for ages.

Any recommendation for getting tyre smudges off of wheels?

I've hit a horrid pothole, and whilst (fortunately) it hasn't done any real damage it has left a really nasty 3 inch long black smudge along the wheel rim where the tyre "rim protector" has been flattened our over it.

I've not tried to tackle it yet, does anyone have any suggestions for shifting it?

aiiieee my phones made my car look purple. just washed, tyre gel and detailed and interior cleaned today, snow foam to start. Couldn't be bothered polishing and waxing as i had to nip out on a job earlier. anyway this took me about 4 hours as it was. knackered now.

any old wash mitt will do.

Its just a piece of material to help you wipe the dirt off your car.. Anything nice and fluffy so as not to scratch the paint will do (ie not a pan scourer :D )

I actually bought the meguairs microfibre wash mitt years ago and its still going strong. Great piece of kit and much more flexible and easy to use than some others I've had.

What's the best way to clean seats gents, kids spilt a drink on the rear smax seat and not sure how to go about it? Other seats could do with a scrub up too

Thanks
