Slammed m8!

Looks terrible, no offense but each to their own :) I don't get why people lower cars to the point of hiding the tops of the wheels.

Raise it a little so you can see the top of the tyre at least...would look great then. Alloys suit it nicely.

I've never been the whole slammed look simply because of the ride comfort but looking at it over and over again it does look aggressive. The Coils are at the highest and it can't go higher. It can go even lower if I want it...

That must ride even worse than a 'normal' Audi!

Its on coils and the ride is not like magnetic comfort. Its lowered and ride comfort needs to take a hit.

You lot will probably scream at me, but I got a rather nice finish yesterday using elbow grease and one application of Turtle Wax after a foam, then a shampoo. Love turtle wax, the paste in the tub. Not the liquid.

Some of the Turtle Wax stuff is brilliant, paid a fiver for the glass cleaner - least I've ever spent - and it's great.

That Audi is ruined by lowering it so far, such a nice colour as well. Car designers spend millions getting the design proportions right to get the correct aesthetic. Lowering it ridiculously ruins the overall balance of the design, same as when people use aftermarket wheels, it rarely sits "right" with the rest of the car. Each to their own though.

Then you get the ametuers.. Lower is better for cornering!

That may be true but technically its not as it increases the risk of bottoming out the suspension and shortens the suspension stroke. You need a fair bit of squat in a car as on a bumpy road especially with stiff ARB's you'll have less traction.

More squat = more traction.

Looking to get a snow foam lance, what are the differences between them? Clean Your Car have an own brand one, is that any different to the branded ones?

Also, what snow foam to get?

I got the CYC own brand one and it's been spot on for 2+ years now.

In terms of Snow Foam I love ValetPro PH Neutral but I've heard a lot of good things about KKD Blizzard

Whats the situation with these ceramic C1 coating type things? Looks pretty nifty to me.

Google CquartzUK or Gtechniq C1 and have a quick look. They both basically put a very hard clear coat type of layer onto the car, this make the top of the paint very flat so you get a great bond when you put wax or any other product on, working better and lasting longer, it has the added benefit of helping from swirls but not massively.

Think I'll get the C1

Never tried C1... CQuartzUK is excellent, just dont do it when the panels are hot, do it when they are outside but not in the sun. If you do it in direct sunlight when the panel is 40+C, it will dry before you can buff it off and I can tell you now it wont leave a nice finish :)
