I'm looking at the C110, or, if I feel fancy, the Titan, which I think replaces the C120, for about £100. Which, given it's more powerful, is still better than the Karcher for the same price.
Longer hose too.

Considering its close to half the price I wouldn't consider anything other than the C110 unless you really need the extra pressure (and let's be honest, it's not that much more powerful). Agreed though, still a better option for the money than the Karcher!

Nilfisk will happily draw water too which was great for me as I live in rented accommodation and they won't allow me to install an outside tap :( Got a 100l water butt that I just put in the bath and fill it up. Connect pressure washer up and away I go!

Thing is, the Titan comes with an 8m hose, whereas the C110 only has a 5m hose. A decent length hose is a must, and 8m ones are £27.99 from DirectHose on ebay (used them before). I can pay a bit more for the Titan, get a longer hose with it, and also most of the attachments thrown in. Extra pressure would be a small bonus.

Also, it's available at Argos, which means I can go and get it this afternoon rather than wait for it to be delivered, because I'm a man, and I cannot wait for new toys :p

I don't know if you guys do this but I'd really appreciate your advice and recommendations on some products please.

I've got a brand new car which I'm really pleased with and proud of. It's not dirty just yet but I want to keep on top of it with the cleaning which I didn't do with my old car.

I've seen everyone talking about the Nilfisk C110 so I'm going to go with that but when it comes to everything else I'm completely clueless, right down to the type/brand of item to wash the car with (apparently not a sponge!)

I like the idea and look of snow foam cleaning is that a good way?

Don't even know what order you do things in, I used to just wet the car, soap the car, wash it off and leave it to dry -_-;;

That cant be fun to move around when it's full though.

Begs the question, if you're running a hose inside the house for it then why not just connect it to a tap?

Have you tried those tap connector screw on clamp things? Last time I did that, I soaked the worktop and then my ear got burnt off...... (from all the moaning).

The pressure washer connects to the water butt tap, problem solved!

Snow foam with autobrite lance and a snow neutral detergent. Leave soak.
Pressure wash off.
Wool mitt soap on and rinse in second clean bucket.
Microfibre cloth to dry (use an extra large one such as the Kent cloth).
Super resin polish, although on a new car not needed.
Seal with extra gloss protection or high definition wax.
Alloy wheel seal on wheels works well.

Agreed that MF cloths royally suck for drying. 195 for a glorified leaf blower though, sod that.
I would just rinse with RO water and leave it to air dry. I get sick of swirl marks on my butter soft jet black paint, so I plan to buy an RO system and quit drying.

Thank you :)

Any favourable brands? Seeing if I can keep everything (including the pressure washer) under £100 total so wouldn't mind slightly sacrificing in quality to keep the price low.

Nilfisk C110 is highly rated here. I usually stick to Autoglym products, there are better, but Autoglym are generally well priced for what you get. There also cheaper, but I can't help you with those :)

Get a couple of cheap buckets (£4 total), a couple of grit guards (£14 total), a microfibre wash mitt (£9), Kent big yellow microfibre drying towel (B&Q have these for £4 and they're decent), big tub of something like Turtle Wax wash & wax (can be had for £4-5 normally). That totals up to about £36, then £60 for the Nilfisk C110 leaves you with £4 change from your £100.

I'd also suggest investing in a wheel cleaning brush (you're probably looking at £15+ for a decent one) and some wheel cleaner (I personally like Chemical Guys Diablo Wheel Gel for £9, as you can dilute it quite heavily and it's still effective).

Just seen this on Facebook. Unbelievable. :o
