Full works on Sunday. Only had time to Clay/Polish/Wax the front bumper, wings and bonnet though.

All with Sonus products by the way including polishing pads. Not sure what to make of their paint sealant... seems good stuff and smells nice. Added a nice deepish gloss but not as deep as I wanted.

Pressure washer has died.
The motor started pulsing every few seconds and water was dribbling out.
Took it apart with hopes of being able to replace an O-ring or something....but I ended up taking it apart too much and a load of silvery looking oil came out, I guess some sort of lubricant. So, sod it, it's going in the bin.

The recently departed was a Karcher K2 which did everything I needed, but I had heard they weren't very robust. Any good recommendation for a replacement of a different brand?
I know pepsilol has mentioned Kranzle but I'm budgeting around a ton or so and I gather they are pricey.

Would take another Karcher if the better models were more robust, as I already have a few useful attachments I'd like to reuse. Unless you can buy adapters and stuff.

The Karcher K5 I got just under 2 years ago has already died, so I'd avoid one of those. In fact, avoid anything Karcher. I've never heard anyone say they've owned one that has been faultless.

What's there to get fed up about? It's not an issue at all unless you somehow manage to get yourself tangled up with long hoses, shower, petrol pump, shoe laces? :p

lol i know. i have the karcher k4. if the all the hoses and cables came out of one side either front or back it would be easier but the hose and lance are at the front and the power cable is at the back.

My karcher has been fine. Can't remember what model I have but I have had it 5 years it's been faultless.

Cheers, looks like a Nilfisk is the one to go for. What models do you guys use?

Also, what's the hose lengths like? I bought a new longer hose for the Karcher off of ebay, but I don't know if the fittings will be the same for a Nilfisk.

Can't remember when exactly I bought mine, I think it was about 2.5 years ago. To be honest, it was also faultless with fairly regular use, although it did feel a little flimsy in places. Then today it just started leaking suddenly. Could probably have been repaired if I'd been a bit less ham fisted when opening it, but never mind.

Depends which one you go for! The hose length varies, I purchased another hose for mine from direct hoses on ebay, its pretty heavy duty - feels like hydraulic line instead of plastic pressure washer hose.

The karcher one won't fit your nilfisk if you get one.

I bought the Nilfisk C110. £60 quid delivered including patio cleaning accessories. Feels better quality than similarly spec'd Karcher that I've used in the past, and for far less money too!
