Right guys, Weather is slowly improving and I'd like to get a few things so I can start cleaning my cars myself rather than go to £3 car wash places. I've got a Nilfish pressure washer currently. Can anyone recommend me a good snow foam lance along with actual snow foam aswell please?

Thanks :)

Snow Lance's:
Karcher: 131544085115
Nilfisk: 361471553716
That'll do for £16.50. I bought the CyC Snow Lance but would have bought one of them if I'd known about these cheaper ones
Bilt Hamber Snowfoam gets great reviews. I'm still working through 5ltrs of Chemical Guys No Touch Snow Foam, good stuff. Smells nice too.

Decided to keep the showroom shine in. So quick wash from getting the car home yesterday, then Autoglym HDwax across all paintwork (figured I may as well use this since I have so much left). Also put the HDWax on the clean alloys, figured it was probably better than the wheel seal I have. Then RainX window cleaner (which I find puts a much better layer across the glass than standard RainX which ends up all smeary) - also on the panoramic roof which should help keep the water off it. So much easier cleaning a car that is already clean :D

Good budget spray on waxes? Preferably the ones you can apply to cars that are still slightly wet and then wipe in with a microfibre cloth.

I say budget as it will be on on my Corolla that's only worth about £1500, my Dad's V70 (worth about £1k), and my sis' Pug 107 (~£1200-1500). Would be used after maintenance washes on my car, maybe every 2-3 months on Dad/sis' cars.

Turtle Wax Wet & Dry Spray I used to use when on a budget. I use Autoglym Aqua Wax these days - lasts ages and great for topping the wax up while drying the car.

Sonax BSD works well as a 'spray wax'. Although its classed as a quick detailer, it goes on more like a spray wax (thicker) then other quick detailers. I suppose you could call it a synthetic spray wax.

Autoglym is extremely good value when on 3 for 2 at Halfords, the Wax spray lasts for a good while too. Smells amazing as well.

Rather basic I know, but I'd like to check the correct order of things. Can someone please let me know, including perhaps quick detailer (polishing?), claying, waxing etc.

For the most part I'm two bucket washing, scrubbing wheels and drying, occasionally using some quick detailer on it. As the weather gets nicer, I'll need to do a proper job!

I'm sure it's been posted, not sure how to find it in 300+ pages.

Wheels first, ideally with a bucket of their own, then two bucket washing (inc rinse etc), then clay bar (most tend to be easier/work better with some lubrication - hence doing it on a wet/damp car), then polish, then seal.

I'm sure some of the more seasoned/knowledgeable ones in here can correct me if I'm wrong :)

Gave mine its first clean since getting it back. Was rather filthy.

Not any more.

I expect it will look clean for the rest of the week given the clear skies forecast. But after that is anyone's guess :p

Gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner for the seats, Poorboys dressing for trim. Only thing I dislike about any kind of trim gel is that if rain gets on it then you're left with water spots that require rubbing with a a microfibre cloth to get rid of. I haven't found a trim gel that's water repellent yet that gives a nice a finish as Poorboys though so I just live with it.

Whats peoples view on the AG HDWax?

That's what I use at the moment, but its nearly all gone. So I am looking to another product at the moment.

Id say its great on a flat colour but a pearl or metallic id look else where, as from what I have been reading a sealant is better for pearl / metallic cars.

Best bulk buy shampoo? I usually use autoglym bodywork conditioner in 5litres at a time and was looking at trying to get 25Litres of the stuff for around £60, but am open to new ideas if anything else is rated better.

Cheers.
