I think swirls are a fact of life.

They are, but if you wash and dry with care you can minimise them. :)

Over a year since machine polishing mine and there are still only very few extremely faint swirls which are not noticeable unless you particularly study it (unlike most black cars where they stick out like a sore thumb) and not nearly noticeable enough for me to want to mop it again yet. And that's with fortnightly washes. It looks amazing under petrol station lighting when clean.

Hi guys, anyone here used a waterless wash n wax cleaner before?

Seeing some on Amazon and the reviews seem good for a variety of products!

Whats the forum's favourite leather product?

I've got beige leather with 12 years in ingrained grime to tackle. Was going to use Gliptone liquid leather with a nailbrush and a JML Magic eraser for the colour coded plastic bits but interested to know if there's anything better

Always used the Gliptone myself, works great. Added bonus of that great smell as well.

Quite a few of detailing shops stateside (who blog/have a website on detailing) recommend Meguiars All-Purpose-Cleaner, at varying dilutions depending on dirt. Apparently they use the same stuff to clean every surface in the car, just vary the dilution.

depends how much you care about the paint work.

a few of us on here strive to keep the paint swirl free but then there are others who dont really care and just want a clean car.

this is the product for the latter. you spray it on then rub the dirt and grit into the paint.

Anyone recommend a decent shampoo that lathers? I have a turtle wax and meguiars that reviews said produce a lather, but they both don't. Its like I am washing a car with water (yes, I did put enough of it in by the way).

Also, what should I use to protect my car? I usually just wash... I tried a carnuba wax in a tub... it was awful to apply, required too much buffing - I'd like something relatively quick like a paste of some sort? Would like a decent beading too, but nothing too expensive (£10-£20 maybe?) The HD Wax @ £40 is too much.

In need of a wheel cleaner too..

Any recommendations?

Normally i would recommend going to halfords when they have the 3 for 2 on cleaning products. but its not on at the moment.

the autoglym aqua car wax is decent stuff. http://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-cleaning/shampoo-polish-wax/autoglym-aqua-car-wax-500ml
if you dont want a spray then a tin collonite 476s is only £15 but its more buffing.

shampoo i use dodo juice. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washi...e-basics-of-bling-shampoo-500ml/prod_832.html

and dragons breath for the wheels. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=1238

Yeah I think it depends on the scale of dirt too, if light you could get away with it. Otherwise it could be effective as an after product but that's what the other spray wax products are for.

Thanks, is there anyway to remove the 'wax' that is on my car? or is it recommended to go over it. The aqua wax says its to top up... I want to make sure that the car is covered in a decent wax as it hasn't been done before. I'm assuming beading is a representation of wax on the car? Mine beads for a week after washing and that's it.

Dodo juice, does it lather really well? Not saying its a bad recommendation but I am getting fed up of trying shampoos that produce bubbles and no suds.

Something else that annoys me is the windscreen, can I put wax on that, or is there a decent product that will repel the water? Anything i can put on the inside of the windscreen? Lot of moisture build up in the mornings which is frustrating - have to use a microfibre cloth a lot of the time.

Dr Leather cleaning wipes are fantastic and leave a brilliant matt finish

I'm not entirely convinced I needed a vacuum with 4 horsepower, but I have one now. It blows too.
