Tried both, Sonax is better (IMO), it is a de-ionisier and a cleaner.

Rainnnnn !

I made a big mistake and wiped dry bird poo off my bonnet without soaking it first, it scratched in a circular motion! There pretty light scratches but visible, then i made another mistake of using a "scratch remover" applied to much and now theres the scratches + a white marks where the paint has kinda gone! what an idiot :(

Whats the best way to minimise this now? some good polish regularly? or? any reccomendations for my idiocy?

Can you post pics, then we can offer better advice.

It's alkaline though.
could you at least give us a safer option then instead of stating its alkaline?

If you mean Bilberry most people will dilute it down 1/10 for every day use.May even use it stronger depending on what is needed.
I my self have used it neat on my wheels when doing a full clean to prep with c5 along with other products. And it did not do any harm for a one off.

But unless you use just water don't think there's any truly safe wheel cleaner.
As most are either acid or alkaline but never in the middle.

Fair shout. But to use this all the time is not very cost effective up to other products. And is more of a General fall out remove r than a wheel cleaner more of a all rounder.

The most cost effective is to hit it once with ironx. Apply Dlux to all four wheels (£24 in total and you'll only use half), then for the next 1-2 years only wash them with shampoo and a brush.

I do think its good too. Used to use it every clean as well but he did ask for a non-abrasive cleaner.

I just prefer having them sealed up properly now.

Picked up a Honda Civic, didn't really give much attention to the instrument cluster and gloss trim, the instrument cluster has very bad scratches and spots, it's like a blue film looks very bad. Been told to use scratchX on the Perspex and gloss dash, anybody tried this? May as well do the headlights too.

Amos91 how do you get on with the Dlux? and did you use it on the trim as well . As i have only use gtechniq c5 on the wheels and the c4 on trim.
