Was driving in rain for first time since had it detailed - Couldn't believe the rain just blew off windscreen even at 30mph - hardly needed wipers.

I have no idea what they did screen with ?

If it was rainx they did a damm sight better job than I did.

Might ring them - could use that stuff on shower screens.

A proper glass sealant like Gtechniq G1 or Dodo Juice Supernatural, barely ever need wipers with them! It's all in the prep when it comes down to glass sealants as well.

Just purchased wookie mitt and snow foam Lance from i6automotive on eBay, on offer for £20 instead of £30, which seems like a bit of a bargain for both. Seems like they get good reviews on dw so time will tell.

Got a link mate? £20 seems like a bargain for both and I need a snow foam lance anyways :)

heres some picks for you chroniclard fist pic is before i set off on a drive in all the rain last night on the motorway and over woodhead pass other side of manchester and back so looks cleaner than the rest.
list of products used
body work carpro couk topped with gtechniq c2v2
trim gtechniq c4 trim restorer
wheels gtechniq c5 wheel armour topped with Collinite 476s
glass carpro flyby 40 BUT im not impressed with it at all dose not seem to repel water at around 40 mph as they state but gets better at 50 + on motorway. will go back to gtechniq G1 next year much better product.

these the cars a bit dirtier

Thanks for that. Will give it a go myself I think.

Best get some ordered. :)

Tried a few windscreen repellent type products and none have worked particularly well until going over 30-40. GTechniq was the best I have used so far.

Collinite 845 and BSD as top up is just great, I don't recall Aquawax lasting this long.

Honestly I have not cleaned it in a few weeks now !

Ordered some Obsession Wax Blizzard Snow Foam as I had heard it was very economical.

I was less than optimistic that only 25ml in the lance would produce a decent foam, but I was completely wrong! It came out really thick but not too clingy and helped loosen up a fair amount of dirt. For only £14.95 a litre the cost per wash is pretty decent -

I presume a two bucket wash first and rinse, but what is the best method of application for BSD?

Whatever you do don't apply when the weather is too hot as it's gets really smeary and sticks. As long as the panel is cool to the touch your fine.

Sponge or MF applicator - circles or straight lines - do you leave it dry or wipe straight off? Does it make any difference?

Also, how long after a detail ending in sealant would it be OK to apply wax? I detailed the car end of last week (pre-wash, 2B wash, clay, 2B wash, polish, sealant) but ran out of time/energy to apply the wax after the sealant, can I 2B wash it this weekend and apply wax or am I likely to be rubbing in too many contaminants? I will have driven approx. 60 miles only since then.

That wookie mitt above with the foam lance is very tempting.

Looking at them and seeing how much they suck up can they be used for drying?

Also whats the best DA polisher to go with atm? Any decent offers?

Personally I'd wash the car again, even if it just sat on the street for a day. Too risky otherwise.

I used a 40cm square microfiber cloth, sprayed bsd directly to paint, spread it around then wipe off. Just like using window cleaner. I used 1 cloth for the whole car, ended up using the cloth on the wheels in the end too.

The Lance and mitt I ordered should be delivered tomorrow.
I'm still unsure whether to do with a dodo juice Da for about 90 quid, or join the group buy on dw and get a das6 pro for £99. Either way it's not cheap.
