Hi all i am needing a pressure washer pretty sharpish for car cleaning duties as well as patio/driveway cleaning - what do you recommend? I would ideally like to spend less that £100 but can spend a little more if i know it would do the job properly. Is the K2 Compact Karcher not upto the job? i would like to use snow foam etc when washing and so would need necessary accessories for that too. thanks in advance

Thanks for the suggestions. Is the base unit in the Full Control any different from the K2 compact? Why would you recommend this over the K2 compact?

EDIT: went for the K4 full control. Think i will need a water-coold unit as i remember my parents air-cooled one used to cut out with too much use. We have a large block paved driveway so think this would do the job better.

They do a very nice job.

But 1k nice?

Also give it a month. Car will be dirty again.

Detailers around here want £300 just to remove swirl marks. Rip off imo

My R8 is currently on day 2 of it's 3 day detail with a local car detailer with an excellent reputation. Full wheels off job, with Quartz paint treatments, internal and external detail and full paint correction.

Here are some of their videos if anyone is interested.

They deal with some superb kit and for me are only 10 minutes from home!

I want the swirls removed, there are loads, it detracts from the car. I could do it myself, I can afford to pay someone to do it for me and then some other stuff. Each to their own as they say, I am happy with my money being spent for a quality job. I do not view it as some miracle stay clear for ever wash, they are 500 quid from any car stealer, this is a little different.

I linked that one because it's a full package for under £100 like you asked. :)

My wheels were looking a little dirty... so I got them powder coated black and put on some Toyo Proxes - much easier to keep clean than the polished chrome! :D

Let operation "going black" commence!

New car tomorrow and I have a couple of things from when i've previously washed my last car to use. I've got a tub of Simoniz wax. I've used it once on my motorbike with decent results tbf, but it was a case of apply on one panel, then immediately buff it back off the same panel before it dries. Feel like I'm going to have to work very quickly on the car panels to keep it from drying before i get chance to buff it.

Also, do i need anything special for diamond cut wheels? I hadn't given it a thought until now :p
