gave the car full works today ;)

Snow Foam
rinse
wash 2 bucket method
rinse
dry
polish
glaze
and a wax

Took me 8-9 hours by the time I had finished..went to take a picture and my battery was flat on my camera  have to see if I have time to take one tomorrow!

I am worn out now think I am going to go to bed ;)

The GTV hasn't been washed "properly" since I bought it, as a result it's in bad need of help, wasn't the cleanest when I picked it up either...
I'm thinking of getting it done this weekend but will need to buy some reasonable cleaning products... Anyone got any ideas what I should be looking at buying?
The car is silver and needs pretty much everything done, clayed, uber wash, wax, wheels, glass... My arms hurt already...

My halfords are selling Zymol cleaner wax at £11.99 which i thought was a good price considering some online stores are selling for £18 :O

Autoglym is good stuff too :)

what do you guys do about bird crap? you can't really do a full clean mid week but i don't really like leaving it till the weekend...

My current strategy is to put some neat shampoo into the corner of a sponge and foam it up with a little bit of water. Dollop the foam over mess and leave for a bit then spray off with a spray bottle and lift away the suborn bits... Then if i remember get some megs Quik Detailer Spray round it.

You should use this as an excuse to come to my house for car cleaning/drinking

you could always get this for a start:

Meguiars Shampoo Plus 1
£11.64 £11.64
Lambswool Wash Mitt 1
£6.76 £6.76
Poorboys Waffle Weave Towel 1
£8.28 £8.28
Meguiars Quik Clay Kit 1
£11.00 £11.00
Subtotal £37.68
VAT £5.65

I have polish/wax you could use, or you could buy that too...due to not being able to do your car properly that often and it being silver, a long lasting sealant would be best...something like...

I just spray QD over it and use a MF cloth to wipe it off, turn the cloth over and buff clean.

Managed to clean the car today in 2 hours, I am getting quicker everytime!

Clean wheels
Wash and Dry using Meg's LT as drying aid
Werkstat Jett Trigger
Werkstat Acrylic Glos
FK425 for anti static.

Totally love this Werkstat acrylic set, fantastic result for so little effort it almost feels like I am cheating :p . Got 6 coats of it on the car now and the reflection is so sharp

Had a play with some autogleam hd wax this afternoon :) .

Tried to get an angle ;) .

To much light in the second picture..[/QUOTE]

1CE, Love the wheels mate... :D

Cheers mate :) .

Cost a fair whack! they're a nightmare to clean though, they gather more dirt then silver wheels!

It's the guys in the picture, yes my mates wash my car;):p

Boggo standard Halfords pressure washer with a lance and snow foam dispenser from a guy in Doncaster that sells plumbing equipment/pipes/fittings etc. Nothing Karcher here. The pipe that connects the lance to the pressure washer has some kind of funky metal wire in it, it's super hard/flexible and doesn't kink:)
