Recently bought a car and now I need to keep it clean, since I am a complete noob in this field I've got a couple of questions

I've got a nilfisk pressure washer, can I use it to clean the exterior?
How do I clean the interior? (seats are half-leather)
Recommendations for products?

Yes.
Not with the pressure washer. Damp MF cloth and duster mostly.
Have a search through the thread, there are many!

Detailing a lease car?

I'm getting my first brand new car in February, a Seat Leon ST Cupra 300 4Drive DSG in mystery blue, and I'm looking at getting it detailed as soon as I get it to keep it looking good with minimum effort on my part over the 2yr lease.

Any recommendations for detailers in the Newcastle area, and what to have done to it? Google suggests that some kind of ceramic treatment would work best over the longer term.

As it's never going to be my car, I don't want to spend silly money, but happy to spend a couple of hundred quid to make my life easier in the long run.

As I'm too lazy to do it myself, a quick Google brings up a local company who'll even come to you to do the work, was going to get something like this done - http://www.mobilecarspa.co.uk/new-car-detailing

That's a nice package. But the wax will be gone within a month.

Ask them how much a ceramic sealant would be extra, the good ones cost in excess of £50 for a small bottle!

Just grab a bottle of car pro hydro 2 and once you're done washing the car just spray it all with it and pressure wash it off.. bam sealed/protected for a good few weeks.
Just tried it for the first time - awesome stuff, it's like magic :)

Ok one question - how on earth do I get this stuff off of glass? Turns out I got it on the windscreen and it's a nightmare, making my wipers judder and squeak!

What will get it off?

Something like alcohol or good glass cleaner should take it off. I never sprayed it on glass, think it says so on the bottle :D

Ok thanks. I didn't actually spray the windscreen, I think some of it just blew onto it whilst I was doing the roof.

Going to treat myself to a new pressure washer for xmas and want in on the snow foam action :D What's the recommendations?

I've got a Karcher K4 which does a stellar job.

So I've seen. Is there any reason to get the c130 over the c120 as I reckon I'm only going to use it to wash my car.

On top of that do I just get any old snow foam bottle and attach it to the Lance and I'm good to go?

Depends what you mean by any old snow foam bottle.. they're all much of the muchness. Keep in mind or course that more foam doesn't mean that it's doing the job better.

So for snow foam bottle I'd say a £20 eBay one will do. Just make sure you get one with correct fitting.

In regards to washers I've had my £50 Bosch aqt 31 for over two years with regular use now and it's still going strong.

Hi,

My brother has just had his Civic EP3 completely resprayed due to being keyed. What Wax would you recommend to apply to the car? I suggested Auto Glym HD or one of the Dodo Juice Wax's but wondered if there was a better option for new paint?
