Treated the Volvo to a wash after 6k scottish miles in the last 2 months. I went to the local hand wash place 4 weeks ago, but after seeing how mucky the wash water was, i just asked them to jetwash the dirt off.

I did a basic 2 bucket wash yesterday and was surprised how well the sonax BSD was still protecting, I used BSD again as a drying agent, and gave the car a quick coat of Chemical guys blacklight, this stuff is simply wonderfull.

Sadly the wheels are in bad shape, so i need to get them off and give them good clean, they havent fared well, and thats despite having a couple of coats collinite on them in the last 12 months. So i think i need to invest in a decent sealant, any recommendations?

Some cleaning might be in order...

Not strictly cleaning related but found a flaming stone chip today - car isn't even three weeks old! :(

It's only small but it's niggling me. I've tried touching up chips like this in the past but I'm a talentless ape and it always looks a mess. Would a decent detailer do something like this and how exactly? Not letting the likes of Chips Away near it!

Get a pot made up, and fill the chip in a layer at a time (leave a day between layers in this weather) until its roughly flush, then use some scratch remover to level it out.

The Bathe+ arrived today and I gave the car a wash despite it being 1c outside. It was -1c by the time I was finishing up and the water was freezing as I was rinsing it off so I had to put the car in the garage to defrost a bit then dry it off.

This stuff is brilliant. The car looks like it’s just been waxed and feels like glass.

I've just received my brand new alloys and before i put them on, I would like to seal/protect them. Any suggestions on what I should order as I haven't really bothered with wheels before as they always looked naff :D

What buckets are people using? I had a couple of lovely opaque ones from PolishedBliss, but they have gone AWOL.

Some of the branded ones are just... well, crazy prices for industrial buckets with a sticker on. Anything vaguely reasonable that is opaque and of a sensible size? I don’t need 20l buckets for doing one car!

I use the Auto Virgin - Liquid nano crystal polymer infused carbon nanofibre Chalice - finished in a partially translucent anthracite.

It comes with an inbuilt self cleaning and vortex creating grit guard generator, all powered by a small prototype arc reactor.

Make sure you add their nanite wash additive, to let the nano robots laser blast the smaller debris parts in suspension (less than 3.8 nanometres in diameter).

Only £1,499 with a FREE virgin catholic schoolgirl hair applicator pad. But boy does it really make the car look cleaner, must be magic.

If the arc reactor is still recharging then I use some 50p buckets fromB&Q.

After all that, the least you could do is provide a link. Jeez.

Yeah, but they don’t do opaque ones. Or give you a free applicator pad.

FYI you don't have to fill the buckets. For example, you can put 10l in a 20l bucket.
What manner of witchcraft is this?!
