Has anyone had any chance to use Chrome products before? https://www.chromecp.com

Was in the local service station/truck stop this morning and noticed these for sale. Seems they are more truck focused but at £5.95 per product seemed quite a reasonable price.

They had derailing spray, tar remover, wheel cleaner etc.

Gave autobrite brilliance (glaze + filler) and Hellshine abyss top coat sealant a go today.

Pretty happy :)

Can you use bilberry to get rid of tar on your bodywork?

Alternatively is there anything I could use to clean car and wheels all in one? Something like iron x?

I believe you can use Autoglym Magma (it is fairly new but available in Halfords). I am going through a bottle now, probably one of the best wheel cleaners I've used (easily on par with Sonar full effect wheel cleaner). :)

Interesting, had seen that on the website. Will maybe check it out next time Halford have 3 for 2.

Probably cleaned it with a brush and fairy liquid

I think some of their staff could do with that treatment..

Anyway here she is in her former glory.. I feel another machine polish is in order this summer. You can only notice the finer scratches up close though as the surface ones I eliminated last time.

This time the headlights are clean but.. nevermind one day there'll be nothing wrong :p

That's the combo I'm looking at. Would you say it's good? and does it take long to do?

Honestly, I don't go into massive depth when cleaning my car, I do it for protection mainly. The polish seems to do a good job, just make sure its well and truly buffed off afterwards. The wax goes on well, now that I have started using very light coats and does a decent job. For me it was either Autoglym SRP and HD Wax or the Bilt Hamber clanser/polish then double speed wax.

Asked this a few weeks ago but thought I’d ask again.

If all I want is to get and keep my new car clean, what should I be using, what process, how often, etc.?
A pair of buckets, a wash mitt, meguirs gold class shampoo > drying towel > super resin polish > aqua wax. In that order, as and when it's dirty.

Quick and easy, will keep the car looking nice enough.

You can then start adding clays, wheel cleaners, tar removers, foam lances etc as and when you get obsessed with cleaning your car :p

Depends how much you want to look after it.

If you dont care if you get light hazing or other superficial "age" related stuff then some fairy liquid a bucket and a sponge will do.
