I was hoping he didn't mean a full 72 hours! :p

Not sure I'd have the patience for that. Longest I've spent cleaning the car is about 4 hours to be honest. I'm debating whether also doing machine polishing is worth it. I'm assuming that was the bulk of the time?

:D

Spent all weekend giving my car a full deep clean.

This was the process I used

1. Covered with TFR and left for five mins
2. Rinsed, washed, rinsed, washed
3. Claybar (autobrite clay with water, love this clay)
4. Machine polished (compound with red pad) 4 passes
5. Machine polished (polish with yellow pad) 2 passes
6. Machine polished (wax with black pad) 2 passes
7. Cleaned windows and any areas I'd caught with polish using Megs glass cleaner

Looks amazing. There was a few areas on the roof with light swirls which have completely gone. Close up it looks absolutely perfect.

Out of interest, roughly how much did it cost you in equipment from #4-#6 as I've played mine but am thinking of getting the gear to give it a proper compound / polishing.

I got the megs dual action machine polisher from halfords. Used a works 10% off discount code, and paid for it using vouchers I got from zeek. In the end it cost me about £180.
The compound, polish and wax came from Amazon I think (all megs ultimate). I just look between amazon and halfords and see which is the cheapest.

Had been battling with the annoying air-con residue on the insides of my windows for ages, tried all sorts and nothing shifted it or left perfectly clean windows.

Saw a friend using this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00UTLIX7C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 so ordered a can.

This stuff is incredible, it just shifts anything, and while the first application may leave a few marks, the second time round it is absolutely spotless.

Put a full ceramic coating all over; body, glass, alloys(Had some left over why not?)

Took around 9hrs all in :o

Snow foam,
Rinse,
Shampoo,
clean and dry.
clay bar
rinsed again.
Machine polished remove clay bar scratches + Swirls with compound then polish.

Then applied 2 coating of MR 9H Ceramic coating, bargain @ £6

Been raining for 2 days solid, awesome beading, very impressive hope it last through winter :)

What compound are people using then? Bought myself a machine polisher at the weekend and just used it with ultra deep shine by autoglym, but while it's done a better job than hand polishing there's still lots of swirls left.

Bearing in mind abarth paint is soft as **** is there anything people recommend?
