I give mine a quick hoover every week (5-10 minutes) before I clean the exterior. It is only ever me in the car (foreveralone.jpg - is there any wonder!) and I don't eat or drink in the car so it is very rare that there is something that doesn't get sorted by a quick hoover out. Once every couple of months I'll clean/dress the plastics with Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care which retains the original matte finish by spraying directly on to a cloth and wiping over. The rest of the time the brush attachment on the hoover is enough to keep dust, etc., away.

Cleaning inside so often is probably considered overboard, but I hate looking at dust/dirt and bits of rubbish on the interior. For example, the only thing in the car is the drink straw which I use to hoover down the side of the driver's seat and floor mounted accelerator pedal :o

Surfex HD really is incredible stuff in regards to cleaning power. I recently tried to clean a tyre brush with tyre cleaner from a brand (that I won’t mention), where that product was basically strong sodium hydroxide (same stuff as Oven Pride oven cleaner) and it didn’t do much. Had a bottle of Surfex at something like 10 to 15% dilution and it worked a treat.

Have to admit though, I’m not finding many reasons to use it now. Externally I just use the shampoo in my wash bucket with some soft brushes for the door jambs, badges and grilles. Internally whilst you can dilute it down to 1% it’s not as nice smelling as dedicated interior cleaners.

Headlight restoration ?

marring/scratches

I hear Toothpaste is good for this, but what have you guys used?
going to try and clean mine up

if i get toothpaste ill get the cheapest one, otherwise it aint worth it lol

Any recommendations for car seat leather conditioner? Looking to add some much needed moisture into the leather. Think the daily school run and warm weather has started to cause some cracking on the right side drivers seat bolster.

In the last winter storm the plastic light cover of the rear light cluster fell off. I glued it back in place with some sealant stuff and it's worked fine but the bodywork around the cluster got a fair amount of goop on it which I then rubbed /smudged in (thinking it would roll up into balls and come off with friction) because I am largely incompetent.

Is there a product (and technique!) I can use to clean this up?

Sometihng like https://www.amazon.co.uk/HG-Sticker-Remover-300-extremely/dp/B000IU3VSA maybe?

I reckon sticking a brush in there won't do a lot except push it around. Is it all loose crap? If so, get a small length of garden hose and tape it to the end of a vacuum nozzle. Then stick that through the bulb access and see if you can vacuum it all up.

EuroCarParts has some reductions site wide but more specifically on “some” Soft99 Products.

Tempted to give the following a go since recently ran out of Sonax BSD my lazy go to spray sealant.

Soft99 The Kiwami Extreme Gloss Wax Dark along with Soft99 Fussco Coat Speed & Barrier Quick Detailer to use when required to top up any deterioration of “Performance e.g Beading / Protection” as time goes on.

Try carparts4less same company little bit cheaper.
