It’s that time of year where the windows suddenly fog up as you enter the car…

Going to nip to Asda for a bottle of Rain X - Anti Fog to see if it helps, I’ve ensured my glass is as clean as possible but still having the issue slightly.

I was sceptical but watched this video and seems if applied correctly it does in fact work, not much to loose considering it’s cheap enough.

Used Garage Therapy 3CS today for the first time.. applied 2 coats with 2 hours in between, and the results are lovely and should see me through the winter... next wash will stick some Garage Therapy 2 sigma over the top as well..
Havn't found a bad garage therapy product yet, need some older products to runout before I try their snow foam and tyre dressing..

edit:woke up to nice beads this morning

Quick video / reel the detailers put together.....

Full safe wash, then contact wash.
Decontamination
two stage paint correction
Ceramic applied to wheels, glass and gloss black areas
Ceramic wax applied to the hethel yellow
Interior deep clean
Leather treated
Ceramic applied to everything inside

Why Ceramic wax and not 'full' ceramic? Simply put, I want to ppf some areas at some point, and this will come off easier, plus it'll be nice to be able to top it up myself. It's a car I want to 'touch' when cleaning, not just snow foam and rinse from time to time. That sounds weirder than I mean it to...... :D

Was it a delivery miles paint correction? It’s amazing how many defects a brand new “un-touched” car actually ends up with, looks great.

I know what you mean, I looked into a durable ceramic coating and they do seem aimed at someone who is happy to just wash over and over again.

You have something less permanent to allow the use different products throughout the year, whether that be applying glazes, waxes or sealants to bring the finish back to it’s best.

Noticed when washing the car yesterday that the liquid crystal on the rear lower panels, just behind the rear wheels, is degrading very quickly.

Rest of the car is still super glossy, and the water runs straight off, but behind the rear wheels, the water is sheeting already, and clinging to the body.

Will need to take a look at that when I'm back from travels :)

Edit: Liquid Crystal usually lasts 1-2 months in the winter, but this time it has only lasted 2-3 weeks, with little to no driving in between (other than it being very wet).

Anyone pick up any bargains during various BF sales?

Trying to stock up on Wheel cleaner and Iron cleaner. In2detailing and car chem have some decent savings but was hoping to get some ez brushes also or woolies but all full price.

Also nothing on sprayers.

mycarcleaning.co.uk have a sale on.

Picked up some GTechniq stuff for the R53:
- C4 Permanent Trim Restorer,
- C5 Wheel Armour,
- G1 and G4 ClearVision Screen Kit,
- W5 Citrus All Purpose Cleaner

all with 20% off. Happy days :)

I've been after some decent trim restorer for ages, tried twice to get some Renew Protect BLAK from the USA but both times got stuck somewhere along the way. GTechniq C4 seems to be a good alternative.

Yeh I saw that too, reviews similar to the C4 but I think I prefer having liquid in a bottle rather than a packet of wet-wipes. Silly reason, but hey ho :)
