Ta. What about any that gets on the wiper blades, I assume you need to clean the blades themselves too, after applying?

Or am I overthinking this :p

They say to actually clean and apply such product to the wiper blades to prevent and reduce any juddering.

But don’t quote me on that! Perhaps a 50/50 it helps or makes it worse.

This arrived from in2detailing early this morning

just waiting for 1 more item (from clean and shiny)

old bottle of Surfex HD ?

Lets hope my day off next week is dry

Yesterday I got vac out and did inside the car - then cleaned all door shuts - today I put all outside taps back on and washed wheel arches etc.
Now waiting for a overcast no wind warm day to wash it. or even gentle rain - this will be a clay mitt job then massive polish .

Not washed it since last year.

Not washed it since last year.
I have made it to almost 1 year without washing my car - bought it late April, and it's 20 years old this year. Hoping to do an overdue restorative deep clean, take ownership, level thing. And probably a quick machine polish to see if I can make the paint a bit less tired.

Next month :D

Struggled use the spray trigger on the fallout remover, it’s too small so requires a lot of effort to cover the car with. Turns out I didn’t actually have much fallout either.

The Just the Tonic glue and tar remover was a bit disappointing as well, not as effective as the powermaxxed stuff I have.

Edit. Oh and I used the Cherry Glaze yesterday as well after doing a much need polish using a DA-White Hexlogic pad combo with an old
bottle of Menzerna SF4000 I’ve had lying around. Smells divine, easy to apply, easy to buff off.

Not used any of the other stuff yet but have used the Britegel in the past which is good stuff. Just waiting for next weekend when I can seal and wax the car.

Having used Bilt Hamber for the past year, i don't think i'll ever use anything else. It's just so good, probably one of the best product ranges i've ever used. I have a shelf and bag full of other products but i haven't touched them since i got the Bilt Hamber range!

What's everyone else thought on this range, i only heard about it cos someone mentioned it on here awhile back so thought i'd give it a try and it did not disappoint.

I was sponsored by Power Maxed racing awhile back but even their stuff doesn't compare! Infact i thought it was kinda mediocre tbh..

Detailbug while small brand has decent chemicals for sure at good values too. Nothing I’ve used of theirs has been bad.

Just applied the Glaco glass compound and glaco soft99 glass sealant on my front windscreen... will report back how it performs.

Do like the BH products but like to support British so have a fair few Garage Therapy products which are all excellent as well I think.

Are Bilt Hamber not British?

Bilt Hamber is a British manufacturer that produces high performing car care products. The company has roots in the marine and aeronautic industries, and this experience and knowledge has enabled them to ensure their automotive products have enhanced protective properties.

Based in Essex, Bilt Hamber offer award winning products at very competitive prices and always lead the way with innovation within the Automotive Industry. They also place an emphasis on products being environmentally friendly and biodegradable.

Likewise. BH Autofoam is impossible to resist though. I am trying to find some cheaper alternatives to some of my usual go to products that can be easily substituted though, but still British.

Edit: didn’t realise BH was British! Can be quite pricey though, although a lot of it can be diluted.

@Mekrel I stand corrected, thanks for the info, I could have sworn they were German..

Ha, the name certainly has Germanic style so it's understandable. I can't even remember how I knew they were British, and even I had to double check just before posting as I certainly knew they were based in Essex but didn't necessarily mean their roots are there.

I like their stuff, especially Touch-Less, Korosol, Auto-wheels, Surfex HD and cleanser fluid. Never tried Auto-Wash though.

Garage Therapy for me are a little bit hit and miss, I do like their wheel shampoo but what puts me off is the number of V2 products they have considering the relative junior age of the brand.

I may try their auto wash when my current wash runs out. It’s meant to last ages and has anti corrosive properties built into it too.

I guess being a relatively new company they are having a fairly rapid development cycle.. their wheel wash and 2sigma are good, and their wheel mitt. Want to try their snowfoam, decon shampoo and tyre conditioner next

sams detailing is another British brand
Some products are good but support in case of issues is terrible. Their wheel cleaner that they sell randomly decided to leak out of their “wine box” container that the 5l ones come in and I messaged them to simply inform them and they promptly ignored me, messaged again to double check that I wasn’t doing anything odd and they’ve ignored me again. Wasn’t expecting a refund or anything but for this to randomly leak out in the garage after sitting there for a few weeks leak free is stupid. Ate away at my garage floor paint too.

Sams Detailing is local to me, nice fella and really cool setup.

Some decent products too, eager to try his wheel and tyre clean as on his socials it appears to melttttt dirt and grime.

@Doobedoo
I didn’t get chance to use today in the end, forecast is abysmal so rather than waste my time I focused on deep cleaning the interior…

Purple Rain is quite a thick/foamy product so can imagine the supplied triggers aren’t ideal.

I already have Purple Velvet, Citrus Wash, Brite Gel and Purple Rain in 5L Form so I’ll just top those up.

Mainly wanted to try Project 64, Wheel and Tyre and as I have a small amount of tar Just The Tonic should do the trick.

Cherry Glaze is lovely to use, as mentioned really easy on and off, not fussy to apply and leaves behind a warmer finish in my experience.

I’ll give Banana Gloss/Carnauba Creme a go, hopefully it’s similar to the above in application but provides a more durable glossy finish.
