The weather is horrid. But we do get some beadings at least...

uc

All good until we get dusty rain that dries into spots.

Gave mine a wash today. Also did a few other bits like:

AG Vinyl & Rubber protector on the internal trim
AG interior shampoo to get some dirt off the mats
AG leather care on the seats

Will steam clean and protect the engine bay once the worst of the winter salt is out the way.

What dirt traps would you guys recommend? The Chemical Guys one looks decent but there are lots of reviews saying they don't fit all buckets, Meguiars for example. Do you need to match up the Chemical Guys bucket with their own dirt traps?

Ta!!

How about the autoglym ones from halfords currently halfords have buy one get one half price on all autoglym products. I thought all the big detailing buckets would have been the same size.

Decent deal on Autobrite 12 bottle collection.

Been tempted but haven’t had time this weekend to pick one of these up.

I need some Tar remover - The 100ML will do me and I get to try out a few products from their range that I haven’t already used.

Mainly their protection and finishing sprays which despite being small sample size will no doubt go quite a long way for the money.

All in all for the same price as 500ML of Tar Remover :D

So I was this on a well.known chinesse shopping site and thought to myself that looks suspiciously like an mjjc foam canon lance except the bottle is different. so for £14 I bought one it arrived the other day and for £14 it's remarkably well built has all the functions of the mjjc can have vertical or horizontal spray patterns. doesn't have the mjjc foam creator filter but might do a test and replace it with one. what's people's thought have a bought a clone that's made in the same factory for a fraction of the price.

If it works, great. They’ve gone very expensive.

Must say, I’ve not used AG Interior Shampoo to clean matts before. Sprayed it on, sucked up with a microfibre cloth, it’s like new again. Took out all the winter grime, result.

Used Autoglym Polar Blast followed by Polar Wash agitated with a wash mitt then finished off with Polar Seal. First time I've tried using all three on my M340i and it certainly worked a treat.

Only 'before' images at the moment as the light started to fade as we progressed into the evening.

It’s such an easy/effective/quick combo to use.

I need a dry day next tuesday!

do the first clean and paint protection on my new car! been driving it for 5 weeks with nothing done on it. 750miles in...hope the paint is in good nick still

Guys, I was using Autoglym Polar Shield again today and had a thought. I assume its an idea not to spray your alloys with it in case it gets on the brake discs? It says on the container that after its dried off you should clean the glass with glass cleaner to prevent smearing. I assume its sensible therefore, to avoid directing the spray at your wheels/brakes? I have been doing exactly that (avoiding the wheels) so far but sometimes you can't help a little overspray.

Ta.

I would make an effort to avoid spraying them, but not end of the world if you do :-)

This - I can’t imagine the product would adhere very well to the surface plus no doubt it wouldn’t be able to withstand a small amount of braking and would wear off almost instantly. So not a huge concern if you get some on there.

Although I did once apply Gyeon Wet Coat to my wheels, I met up with an old work colleague at a BP to catch up/wash cars, shortly after we shot off somewhere together and I almost rear ended him, he stopped abruptly and my brakes were clearly effected by wet coat/water but after that they were fine
