What other bits do I need.
ie: buckets, sponges, wax, wheel cleaner, dashboard cleaner etc,
car has fabric seats. Also where to buy from
Get yourself two buckets. One will be with your warm water and car shampoo, and the other for rinsing to minimise how much grit is in your "good" water. You can get grit guards if you want to be extra careful but it depends how much you want to spend
Avoid sponges, they aren't great and you'll be more likely to scratch up your paint if you aren't careful. Get a wash mit, either lambs wool or just a microfibre one. Also, get yourself some microfibre towels, you can get a bulk lot off ebay for £10-15, they won't be the best, but they are more than good enough to start with and cheap enough that you can just throw away if needed.
In terms of shampoo, polish, wax etc, to start with, I'd just buy the Autoglym starter pack from Halfords. It's usually on offer for around £40 and contains everything you need to do a good job
If then you find you enjoy it and want to invest more money in to it, then you can start looking into more expensive waxes and so on.
