The Chaos Engine (Air > Water Cooled)

Well, used a spare piece and did three bends, 1 good 1 avergage 1 crap hahaha, so thought right lets stop thinking and just done on as if was doing for the CPU and here it is... my first time using heat gun and bending... there is deffo a knack and may need a couple more pieces by the time I'm finished... the lesson here is try and make your loop EASY... easy is clean, simple and less work lol

How are those fans with rads ur static pressure etc
Don't know yet matey, still building, won't be doing all the piping until starting tomorrow so it's not up and running yet. Hopefully may be close to finishing this weekend. As for those fans, it's an unknown, I didn't go massive power on them as trying to keep this as qiet as possible so will report back on temps etc when she's up and running.

However haven't gone mega thick on the rads and only 30cm so these fans should pull through easily enough air to cool everything... in theory there's a 240mm and 2x120mm for the CPU and GPU so that should easily be enough to cool, but we shall see... all theory at moment hahaha

Right, okay. Only a little progress as my block studs don't arrive until tomorrow, so just a few bits and a change to the loop. So,. in the picture 2 and picture 6 below, because the pump will not align to the block weirdly and I don't fancy a bend in a short space as it'll look like a bothch job, I've decided to do a baby loop... block > up > through the flow monitor > around and into the pump and then through the block into the first radiator. Been trying to work out where to put the flow thing which is RGB and also the water temp gauge without looking like they were just shoved in there, so thinking the rear would be neat and leave the long nice clean pipes alone... so that is how it'll work. Not perfect and I didn't want anything unesesarly, however in this case it is. Everthing else will be straight lines in and out of the block.

So, the two bends in the pipiong are perfect really, no flat spots etc so really pleased, just need to trim to the correct size but you can see, solid job there for me that in picture 4 and 5. Got the hand of it now tbh, and shame BUT I think there's only going to be two bends in this loop. I could make it all more complicated and fancy but thinking... why? I want the simple clean look so...

However, bit of a question... for whatever reaon, the CPU block holes are lower than on the block, so, as these are the two main lines at eye level they have to be 100% perfectly straight.. (well they do in my head)... so, I'm having to use the adaptors that are in picture 3 and picture 5 in the block below... now the question is, they look like the wholes are around 2/3rds as big as a normal hole because they allow you to make custon amendments to the positioning... however, wondering, how much will they take away from the flow as everywhere else in the system it'll be perfect.. didn't want to use these really but don't think I have a choice... there's not enough to warrant a bend to them and I don't want pipes not being horizontal... just a little worried how much they will restrict the flow?

PS. The next batch of pictures, hopefully the GPU will be in tonight, the piping will mostly be in hopefully!

On my phone so it's not ideal for viewing your photos
But that's looking really nice mate
Not seen those adapters for offsetting pipes before
But don't think they will be any more restrictive than say a gpu block
GPU block does kind of similar thing fittings go on and very tight turn for the coolant
Will those adapters make it perfectly horizontal?
Hard to tell on my phone
Another option would be to put/bend a dogleg in the pipes
As long as both pipes are symmetrical and parallel
And horizontal bending a dogleg/maybe not the right term but it's 5am and had no
Sleep would look fine in my opinion
Anyway
May even look better than dead straight across with the adapters, though thats
Subjective to whatever personally
People like the look of
Some like only straight as it looks clean /neat
Some like little touches like dogleg etc
As it adds interest and shows more
Skill at pipe bending so to speak
What ever you decide it's looking sweet :)

Ok, only had a spare hour tonight, so actually fitted some piping in permie now.... so here's latest... need a couple more adjusters so they should come Friday.... as the bottom pipes in the rad down look horizontal enough for me, I like things to be straight, however, CPU done, top radiator 50% done now and the loop into the pump waiting on a 45 degree pipe tomorrow, did do a bend but it looked odd so metal 45 degree it is.

so just found out
your images are visible on phone/mobile devices
but they dont show when on a pc weirdly

edit ok disabling ublock origin no change
disabling privacy badger no change
disabling ghostery and refreshing the page your images show fine on pc
if that helps any one else

I like the steapunk style blanking plug..... unless it's a reflection. Now I'm trying to work out what it's a reflection of.

SHE LIVES..... I've attached a power lead from my other working PC (i.e. the one at the start fo this thread) into the pump and she's running and 100% leak free after 1 hour!!! I'm absolutely made up, there's bubble heavenm but currently flushing through with ionised water before finishing off tomorrow, but I'm sooooo happy and proud of myself, she looks amazing...

Just waiting on a tap and couple of bits topmorrow, then will drain, finish off and put the green cryo in her, however, as weird as it sounds I'm tempted actually now to keep the way clear... I really don't know... just trying to power on all the fans as well... will post in a bit...
