The Countdown Has Begun...... Fallout 3

I fell like a right idiot, ive been constantly access my pip boy to change weapons and armour while fighting and ive just realised that i could put them to the hotkeys ( 1-8 )

+1, this is probably one of the best RPG's i have ever played so far, i think the best thing about the game is the atmosphere and the voice acting it all fits in, i noticed that "Dad's" voice sounded really familiar, is it Liam neeson?

Sadly i have to disagree.

They normally hire 1 well known person and then the other voices are done by a handful of people.

All the old men have the same voices, all the young black raiders for example do also.
 
Well I was just about to kick my postie in the nuts when he finally handed me a box, and it was Fallout 3. :D

Although it does have 1st class on it, so I'm still a little disappointed in them!

I never said all the voices where good. Maybe I worded my post wrong.

They get a few good people to do the main story characters.

Patrick Steward, Sean Bean for Oblivion. etc.
 
I actually don't like it when games use famous actors as the voice (unless its a game to film adaptation obviously), it kind of ruins the immersion. All the way through the start of this i just kept thinking 'That's Liam Neeson', games like dead space prove it's possible to have good voice acting without the need for famous voices.
 
meh, im gutted...lol downloaded the game overnight via Steam ... played the vault part as soon as i get outside i get huge graphics corruption :(

Can I not just march into my delivery office and demand I have the item? Thats what I feel like doing at this moment in time. Also, how can it be HMV that takes ages? It was posted on Tuesday, surely it's now down to the Royal Mail being incapabale idiots.

malcolm mcdowell !! thankyou for whoever posted that i was wondering for ages why that voice on the radio was so familiar.

And with him in Heroes as well im amazed i didnt twig it was him ha ha

Anyway as with most im loving the game, Ive also found quite by accident that looking back ive started playing Fallout the exact same was i did with oblivion. Once i left the vault i forgot there even was a main quest and just went off exploring and im just getting so sucked into the world that i know this game will eat up any spare time i have :D
 
one of the things which does take away from the immersion in the game for me is the huge console like HUD elements.

Now as with oblivion ive found that this command in the .ini can be used to move the elements right to the edge of your screen but what im hoping for is some way to actually reduce the size of the hud elements, for me even 50% smaller would be perfect.
