The Countdown Has Begun...... Fallout 3

At 1st i was having problems with low ammo and awlays dying when facing hard mobs, like the mers and super mutants, until i got myself some frag mines now im setting traps up backing off and letting them run thru my mines and finishing them off with my hunting rifle.

Is a good exapmle of it, used 4 frag mines hunting rifle and then flamer to take down the minigun.

Word of warning on cheating or modding the ini files. If you do this then the game will not unlock the Live Achievements so you will not be able to get the 1000 points on offer.

I have been tempted to a few times as this game I am finding very difficult indeed. never enough ammo or health packs and the extreme accuracy of the NPCs makes it very hard to sneak around for long!!

On another note, how do you change the grx settings? I cant see where to change the resolution or AA settings....

If possible without giving away spoilers, can someone please tell me at which point is the no going back point? I remember someone saying the game is closed ended, but at which point are you actully locked into that ending, so that i know not to go past that point in the game untill im ready.

as far as i am aware there is no point of no return as it is all applicable. The ending(s) basically go over what choices you made throughout, reflecting which NPCs lived and died, what side-quests you did etc. There are hundreds of difference endings so don't worry about it and just enjoy

I realise you may be meaning in respect of the father plotline? But I aint got a clue about that!

Pretty much played this for 16 hours today - i just dont know where the time went! Gonna go bed now so I can get some more time in 2morra before I go to work Monday!

No idea why people are having so much trouble with ammo.

If you explore properly, every room, every triangle on the compass on your way to where ever, then you'll never run dry.

I know ive got either loads of ammo or just enough, theres plenty of it around.

I'm a fan of f1, f2 and fallout tactics.

F3 is an odd one for me, it both feels like fallout and at the same time doesnt feel like fallout. Its not really the way I personally would have chosen to do fallout 3, but having said that I'm happy with it and enjoying it.

Does it matter? This game runs brilliantly, i can understand being peeved at something like crysis not using your CPU correctly and still getting poor framerates but this runs maxxed out on an 8800GTX with a dual core.
