The Countdown Has Begun...... Fallout 3

Hmmm what specs will this need to be played well.

3.5ghz E6300, 2gig TEAM @ 1000mhz, 8800gt overclocked good enough ?

confirmation of exclusive downloadable content has been confirmed for both PC and 360 but not PS3. At the end of the day what it would boil down to is:

- can your PC pwn oblivion graphically?
- do you want to improve your gamerscore?
- which method of control would you prefer? (keyboard/mouse or controller)

Gonna be PC for me methinks...

Fallout 3 is under Games for Windows Live, meaning you can still add to your gamerscore, that and the opportunities for modding means I've ordered the pc version :D

Yup, after playing Oblivion on the 360 for ages I finally picked it up for the pc and have been enjoying the million and 1 mods that are out there. Plus I finally have a pc that is capable of running it at full whack :D

I reckon with all the potential gfx mods etc, this could be summit really special and i hope the modders will keep this alive. They did a bloomin good job with oblivion by all accounts.

Might go with it on *** PC then, just hope I can run it well enough.

Or go for console for the 50inch viewing :D

May get the Collector's Edition, but not from the retailer giving out the keyring and CD, as that's an extra £10 compared with the online place where I could get it.

pc version for me for following reasons:
1.itll be a crime not to play it max settings on my rig
2. mods
3.get achievments anyway cause of Live.
4. mouse and keyboard

When i play it i think ill do 2 or 3 main quest, so i can get the jist of how to play the game. Then ill go exploring and see what trouble ill get up to:)

Hook your PC up to your TV?

I was gonna get it on PC, but since the 360 version has been leaked 3 weeks early...

:D:D:D

Exactly. Easy enough to do.

And hmm..leaked 3 weeks early you say? Interesting...

edit: And amusing, given that games publishers always take about piracy on the PC ;)

Windows vista 64 and games for windows dont mix particularly well. Ive got a couple of them and the DRM means i have to download no cd cracks to play them, despite having no emulation software installed.

Its a shame, no point in buying the PC one unless i revert back to windows xp.

Never having played 1 or 2 and not being interested at all in this I am now won over.

I had never played an RPG until Oblivion but happily lost many hours to it. A post apocalyptic environment sounds perfect.

Is there anything I need to know from the first two games before I play? I had a look on Wilipedia so sort of know the jist of the series.

Not at all :) You can pick up and play Fallout 3 without playing or knowing anything about the previous two.

Sad to hear it has been leaked though (360) if it's true and not just some virus-infested archive.

All these software companies complaining about PC games being pirated, this has already come out on the torrents site, for xbox 360, not PC. They need to blame something else me thinks.
